Myself, Jimbo, Shiny & Bobby are the Administrators. Contact us for anything you need. We will always be fair.
THE RULES
Because we have had a massive influx of bots & spam accounts lately, anyone wishing to join must send an email to supermancinema@hotmail.com after you have registered, to let us know that you are a real person.
We do not have a swear word filter in place because we're all adults here. We don't mind f-bombs, but don't use cursing to attack each other. Try not to put anything too raunchy in the Superman section, as it is viewable by non-member guests. Curse words are fine as exclamations.
We ask that if you are from a previous incarnation of the Superman Cinema board, that you use your same board name. It cuts down on confusion & keeps everyone familiar.
Your avatar can only be 100x100. (Not my choice, the board has it limited that way. For some reason it defaults to 65x65 for new users. Just go into your profile & change it to 100x100, for it to be full size.)
Your signature picture can be no taller than 200, & no wider than 500.
PLEASE do not post pictures that are so WIDE that they cause side scrolling for some folks. Its a pain in the ass to try & read that way. About 700 is a good width to keep them under.
Using pictures as a response in any thread is ok, as long as it's relevant. Example, if someone says something that's wrong, and another responds with an "OWNED" picture, then it is permissible. Anything random should be in the chaos thread. Don't jack someone's discussion for the sake of jacking it. If a picture is out of place, then we will move it, but we will not arbitrarily delete pictures from discussion threads just because they're meant to get a laugh.
Don't post anything that is considered legally nude. Risky is OK, but people under 18 could see the place & we wanna stay legal.
Do not EVER post a spoiler (Plot point) about a recent or upcoming movie in a post without putting an ALL CAPS SPOILER WARNING & plenty of spoiler space before typing it. I take this rule VERY seriously, folks.
Do not create more than one account for yourself. It's shady & there is no need for it. We'll be able to tell if you do.
This next one we also take very seriously:
If you make a new thread about a topic that could have been placed in an existing thread, no worries. We will merge the new thread you made with the pre-existing one. That way, none of what you posted, or any responses to it are lost. Please do not take the merging of your thread as something personal. You might not even have known there was an existing thread already. It could have been buried a few pages back. Just continue the conversation in the newly merged thread. Again, nothing personal, it just keeps the conversation from being scattered.
This rule will never be up for negotiation. If you would leave a board as great as this one, just because we want to keep it tidy & not have multiple threads on the same topic all over the place, then you never really wanted to be here in the first place. Its not a hard rule to follow.
This rule is slightly more relaxed in the Superman section, as it is an entire section about one subject. But, even in there, don't get carried away.
DO NOT complain or make belittling comments about a thread (such as Random Chaos) that you can simply avoid if you don't like. If a particular thread such as that has a particular brand of humor in it that you don't subscribe to, then it's simple, DON'T go in that thread. There's no need griping about something that doesn't affect you.
I don't even have to tell you to not make personal attacks against fellow members on here guys. Listen, just treat people on here like you would treat people face to face. It's OK to disagree, even really strongly, as long as you keep the disagreement on topic & don't resort to name calling.
Do not take an argument outside of the thread it started in. I don't wanna see anyone chasing someone from thread to thread making little remarks just because you were arguing in another thread. Keep any arguments contained.
Causing trouble & intentionally trying to rile up other members for the sake of your own amusement or otherwise constitutes a Warning. Play nice.
Don't go running between this board & the old board, making trouble, gossiping, & starting fights. It's childish & there's no place for it here. The Superman Cinema Community has moved here because we are done with the previous board. Only a handful of members remain there. Members from the old board are welcome here, as long as they don't start trouble. We left that board behind for a reason. Let's keep this place free & fun. So, no muckraking about that board. Period.
For first offenses, you will be warned.
For repeat offenses, you will be suspended for one week. Time off really helps sometimes.
Permanent bans will be rare if ever at all. But when they do happen, it will be because it is decided in a poll in which all of our members can vote, that you will continue to be a disruption to everyone's enjoyment of the board.
Again, no one will be permanently banned, unless a poll is taken & it is found that you are continually disrupting the ability for others to enjoy the board. EVERYONE can vote. Though there are a few folks who were banned permanently before we even got started because their behavior over the years has proven they will never change.
Accounts that have not been logged into for 6 months will be deleted. So, if you are just a lurker, be sure that you log in at least every half year.
Finally, your opinion is important here.
This is NOT a dictatorship. We value & want to hear your opinions about board policy or anything else you would like to speak about. The only rule that we wont bend on is the one about creating multiple threads on a single topic. We want people to be able to find what they are looking for.
Send Jimbo, Shiny, Bobby or me a PM any time you wish to discuss something about this place that bothers you. My door is always open, as are theirs. We will not narc on anybody.
What you say to us in PM or email stays private.
Everyone, have fun. Thanks for joining the oldest & BEST Superman Movie community on the internet!
