Well, well, well... The Superman titles are going to get their own equivalent of the "Sinestro Corps War" that ran between Green Lantern and GL Corps last year. "New Krypton", with Action issues by Geoff Johns, and Superman issues by James Robinson, will be a nine part crossover (also in Supergirl) that tells the story when 100,000 Kryptonians are found ALIVE (since this spins out of the Brainiac arc, I'll give you three guesses where they probably come from), and end up on Earth. Read all about it here! www.newsarama.com/comics/080726-NewKrytponTEam.htmlThis sounds like LOADS of fun.

Shogun...
It's a Kandor/Brainiac story.
It'll be cool!

Lois and Clark already screwed the pooch with this one. DC has been reduced to digging through Lil Debbie Levines garbage can for ideas now?

ummm...no?
Pick up the latest two issues of Action Comics, which are the prelude to this. It's like if Superman 3 was actually, y'know, a good movie. With Brainiac.

So its more Kandor? Do they call it Kandor?
As long are they aren't in some whiskey bottle. Better me than them little Kryptonian bastards.

Is this based off Donner's ideas for Brainiac? I remember he and Johns were supposed to work on a Brainiac story which from what I can tell never came to pass. Is this it for all intents and purposes?

I'm not sure if this is Donner's Brainiac, but it sure FEELS like it. It's really something.

Shogun, the ONLY Superman comics you need to pick up right now to figure out where these books are at, are the two most recent issues of Action Comics. You'll thank me later.

Excellent. I can't imagine how cool this story would look on screen (with some tweeking, of course).
I definitely will be looking forward to future issues.

It's bittersweet. That's the best word for it. At least we get it in comic form, but holy heck...if only it was a movie.
Glad you dig it!

Lois and Clark already screwed the pooch with this one. DC has been reduced to digging through Lil Debbie Levines garbage can for ideas now? there is no way it could be as awful as "LOIS and clark ", even if similar ideas are pursued.

DC is on to something with the New Krypton storyline. It could definitely be a possible television series. But there is one problem, New Krypton is no longer on Earth, at the North Pole. So it needs some story adjustment like Metropolis being only 1 hour away from Smallville, something like that, that would have to be in adjustment.
HEY! Be sure to pick up Superman 684 (Parasite - Faces of Evil). The New Krypton storyline is in there to.

Lois and Clark does have a way of making potentially good ideas seem bad. It didn't help me accept the concept of Lex as a rich businessman.

Did anybody pick up Superman: World Of New Krypton #1? Some verrrrry interesting developments!
For the record, the current post-New Krypton Superman status quo appears to be... (LIGHT SPOILERS BELOW)
Superman: World Of New Krypton...if you wanna read about Supes, THIS is the book. He's left earth to live among his own people for awhile. This looks like some serious sci-fi fun. By Robinson and Rucka, with some cool Pete Woods artwork!
Superman...Mon-El and Guardian are the new protectors of Metropolis while Supes is on vacation! By James Robinson! I'm sold.
Action...Kandorian heroes Nightwing and Flamebird take center stage. And there's an Ursa story coming. Interesting...

I especially LOVED Pete Woods' Superman; he resembles Brandon so much!!! Yay! In general, the art is great. Love looking at all the different outfits the Kandorians wear, the city (crystal based, right?), the buildings, and Superman looked so good in that uniform at the end. Wow. Superman was a real badass in this issue; Loved how he confronted those kandorian soldiers. I hope the story continues as good as it looks so far. I'm sold. And I can't wait for more. ;D
