Any specific stories that have stuck in your craw?
Like for me, some of my favorite stories relate to Clark and his identity in danger. Like "The Stolen Costume" from Season 1 of The Adventures of Superman." Seeing him in a position where he just couldn't turn into his alter ego and having it at risk of being exposed really stuck out as a great, suspenseful episode.
In Season 4 of The Adventures of Superboy, Standoff stuck out because of a similar struggle. Held hostage with nowhere to run away to change, Clark must act under the radar in the hopes of saving the day without giving away his identity. Highly recommended that you check it out.

Adventures of Superman: The one where he gets hit by the comet/meteor and gets amnesia.
Lois & Clark: Fly Hard
Smallville: Perry

Are you speaking of live action or cartoon? I remember something in the cartoon when Lois is on some hanging cage or something, and there is a firey grotto below, and some villain offers him an ultimatum about saving her etc. etc.

So long as it originated on TV.

The episodes where Superman is on Apocalypse in Superman: The Animated Series are pretty much perfect. I really love the Flash episode, too.
Lois and Clark, I love the pilot. It's fantastic. And the stakeout episode in the first season. Really great banter.

I'd KILL to find seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Superboy online somewhere. I was actually an extra on an season 3 episode Werewolf. I got to meet Gerard Christopher and Stacy Haiduk (good god!! ) and everyone was so nice. I haven't seen those episodes in so long. Does anyone have any idea where I could get my hands on these seasons? This show was a HUGE part of my childhood. The "Standoff" episode that was mentioned was incredible.

I think very soon, I'm going to revisit the first season of Lois And Clark. It had a few great moments, especially that pilot.

the pilot to superman: the animated series. the jor-el krypton shit was great. clark discovering his powers (and lana witnessing) was great. superman saving the plane was great. if they reboot superman, they should just remake this as live action (except maybe the plane, since singer swiped it).

I remember enjoying the pilot of L&C but that was a while ago so dunno if it will still be as enjoyable.
If Smallville is not a banned word then I`d like to mention the Episodes of Smallville with Reeve in. Couple of other memorable one which I can`t remember the names of. The one where the old woman has a vision of Lex`s future.

Oh yeah, that one had a pretty distinctive ending.
She touches him to see his future, looks frightened, then dies right on the spot. Creepy.

"Lois & Clark" was great, but I'll always enjoy the 'Smallville Family Album' section of the 1988 Ruby/Spears "Superman" program.

"The Road To heck" Parts 1 & 2 and "Paranoia" are standout episodes of Superboy.
Really wish WB would release seasons 2-4 on DVD.

Is there a petition online somewhere that we can sign to get Season 2 out? The show only got better with that 2nd Season.

The Adventures of Superman:
Superman on Earth The Stolen Costume The Human Bomb Crime Wave Five Minutes to Doom Shot in the Dark Superman in Exile The Face and the Voice Panic in the Sky Around the World The Wedding of Superman[ The Jolly Roger The Perils of Superman All That Glitters
These are the best episodes of the series IMO and really capture the best parts. Superman on earth is STILL one of the best tv adaptations of Superman's origin IMO.

Lois & Clark's two-parter at the end of the first season, "Barbarians at the Planet" and "The House of Luthor," is one of the best on-screen Superman stories, IMO.
And most of Superman: The Animated Series was great, of course. Anything involving Brainiac in particular was good stuff; major props to them for making him come from Krypton.

A better question for TAS would be what WASN'T good because about 90 percent of those episodes were dead on perfect.

I even liked that one on some level but that was during the short and somewhat supbar 4th season.

There's a few kinda pedestrian/dull episodes of STAS. Can't really think of any that are out and out BAD off the top of my head, though.

The late Mr Kent is a fantastic episode. Its an OLD story but with a Superman twist. An innocent man is scheduled to be executed for a crime he didn't commit. Superman gives him the benefit of the doubt and tries to save him before midnight.
It illustrates WHY the Lois and Clark staff just didn't get Superman or Clark Kent even in the so called first season. In Lois and Clark they did the same thing only they had Clark thinking the guy was guilty and not being bothered by his execution. I just don't see how Superman would let someone be executed if there was any doubt.
