Some of you may have seen this already, but I went to the BFI screening of STM in London last month and recorded the laughs and applause, and put a few snippets up on youtube : www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvN5Wu-dEIISTM was very warmly received, I can tell you.

How great is this video. A telling reminder of how effective STM is. It hasn't aged a bit.

Very nice.
I dunno, maybe it's just me, but after seeing the movie so many times, I can't laugh at the 'funny' bits anymore. Even if it's the funniest thing ever made, if I saw it enough times, I wouldn't laugh, and would just watch and enjoy.

Jimbo, you LOL if you see it on the big screen with a good audience. It's redefined the movie for me.

I had a chance to watch the superman the movie on the big in LA about a month and half before 911. I must say that the audience was really into it.. you would not think it was a 20 year old (at the time) the audience was laughing and clapping and just enjoying the movie it was pack too. truly a wonderful experience for me and many others that attended the screening.

Aye, I highly doubt the "Donner Cut" would ever get the same reception. Just a big "WTF?" reaction I bet.

we are not talking about superman 2 donner cut.. we are only talking about superman the movie.
I don't remember the reaction from the donner cut screening. it was mostly positive..i remember it more for being richard donner's night.. him be vindicated for what had happened with the superman 2 mess.

inebriated87 that was fantastic footage. I think if STM is screened at a theater in London again, I am going. heck my brother lives there and I would have only had to have paid the flight. You guys are so lucky to have experienced this.

Well I was awy travelling across the world at the time but would have definately gone over to see it. It would be have been an awesome experience. My bro lives in London also and I told him to go but he had a wedding so couldn't go but since I'm moving to England in 3-4 weeks for a few years with the woman next time any event is on I'll be driving to them all!
Oh, STM is on in Bryant park in Manhattan on tomorrow night (Monday)!
