Best.Alternate.Version.Ever.
I really would love it if there was a thread we could make up where we find either alternate versions of the theme (i.e. The John Williams theme altered slightly or versions not conducted by "the man" himself as there is usually a slight difference somewhere) or just try to find as many total versions including his as possible. There is one I miss where it starts off as E.T. and then right in the middle it goes into Superman. Don't think it was John Williams himself that did that one but is was great. Haven't had or heard that one in probably a decade. Think I got it when Napster was still illegal.

Roy "Get Carter" Budd did a fantastic version that had so much energy; will try and find that one if I ever clear my loft out and upload it.
I've never heard that version I found last night before; I definitely agree about the love theme bit

Had a trash barely audible version of that version for years without knowing what it was but loved it so much I could never get rid-
Now not only has it been ID'd but now have a sparkly new version!

Thanks....for the attempt  I actually have this version as well. There was one that was the E.T. flying theme and then straight into the Superman main theme and it wasn't as slow paced as this one was. But definitely keep checking for me...I haven't stopped either Mavcon |

Cheers for uploading that Kev; I had that yonks ago but goodness knows where the file went. Love how the Supes music starts; major goosebumps when I first heard it.

Found this on Youtube, the opening rendition of the Superman Theme on a guitar....and not by some amateur and it REALLY sounds good....I could easily listen to a full version of this style, maybe re-do parts of it but it sounds original....yet not.... give it a listen guys www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-N1gqOSYng |
