....I did it when I was four... Me too! I pretended I was Supergirl. I didn't jump off the roof though...more like the back deck of our house. ;D

Not the same as stories of all these kids who were supposedly leaping out of Manhattan skyscraper windows with towels tied around their necks.
True story, I, of course, strolled around the house with a dishtowel around my neck (until I was about 16, but that's another story). My mother, believing the old wives tales about kids inadvertently committing suicide after watching STM, began to worry. She began to worry even more since I was pretty much watching that fucking movie EVERY CHANCE I GOT.
So, my Dad says, "Don't worry, I've got this." And takes my tiny 4 year old self out to our deck, which was at least 12 feet high, and puts me up on the railing, so I'm now an additional 4 feet in the air. I'm wearing my "cape", and Dad says,
"So, you can fly, huh?"
ME: "pffft. Yeah."
DAD: "Well, go ahead. Let me see you fly."
I looked down at the ground about 15 feet below, and looked back at my Dad. "What are you, CRAZY?"
Mom still hasn't let Dad forget that there was the nagging possibility that I WOULD jump....

Then came along "the boy who could fly" which I'm sure made other kids think they could float out their window just by being tounge-tied

I didn't contemplate suicide until every movie in the world had to be 3D because of Avatar.

Well, Lucas did win the battle of needless prequels. Now we're getting prequels to things that sully the original films/shows. Examples: Hannibal Lecter, The Exorcist, Dumb and Dumber, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, X-Men, Underworld, The Thing, Star Trek (Enterprise TV show), and Battlestar Galactica (Caprica). A shitload of video games do it now too.

Caprica was a flop, so now they're doing a prequel with William Adama during the first Cylon War.

Was this new version of the show really good? I tried to watch one day but found it kinda boring. I guess I didn't give it a fair chance.

Caprica was a flop, so now they're doing a prequel with William Adama during the first Cylon War. i'd actually watch that. ok, its a spinoff of caprica- or at least a sequel to caprica, which is a prequel to battlestar which is a remake of battlester which was a plagarism of star wars, which bryan singer wants to remake again. that HAS to be some kind of record.
