This is in response to the recipe for a Superman thread. Think of the ideal ingredients to make you favorite Superman villain. i.e. Zod, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Doomsday...

One part Gene Hackman, One part Jack Nicholson, one part Kevin Spacey and voila! Lex Luthor

Start with Braniac, then hint at Bizarro left behind for the sequel. I'd love to see mastermind Luthor (think Animated series) be present in the background, pulling the strings, a la Emperor Palpatine--but he's pretty much untouchable till the third--and final--film, when he and Supes finally have the showdown we've all been waiting for.
