I've read Batman: Year One and The Long Halloween, and they're fantastic (of course!). I'm about to read The Dark Knight Returns, and it'd be very surprising if that failed to live up to the hype. I also have All Star Superman Vols. 1 and 2 in the mail, which should be very exciting indeed considering their reputation.
If you couldn't tell, I'm eating these up like candy, and I want MOAR. What graphic novels should I check out now? I trust your opinions more than the internet at large.
And also, sidequestion - how do you guys rate Dark Knight Strikes Again? Would you say it's worth a read?

Dark Knight Strikes again sucked. Miller got a cool million for that (iirc) and ;D all the way to the bank.
Returns is a must read...hyped up or not.

If you haven't yet, read Hush.
I have a hard time giving books and comics my full attention...I couldn't put Hush down! Also Heart of Hush isn't too bad.
Since you have read TLH you could give Dark Victory a go.

Since you have read TLH you could give Dark Victory a go. Hm... I'm a little more inclined toward Dark Victory since it follows up TLH, but I'll definitely give Hush and HOH a look! You don't have to limit this to Batman guys, some lighter fare is always appreciated.

With regard to Hush, it's probably best that you don't read up too much about it before you read it.

...oops. ;D
I'll probably forget about most of it by the time I'm ready to read it.

I prefer Dark Victory to Long Halloween. Enjoy!
Avoid DKSA at all costs.
Read All Star Superman immediately!
Other Superman stuff that's must read...
All of the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank storylines. So... Superman: Secret Origin Brainiac (exactly what a new Superman sequel should be) Superman And The Legion of Super Heroes
Other good stuff...
Ed Brubaker's entire Captain America run. All of it. Just start with the first volume and then keep going. These are the best Captain America comics ever published.
Geoff Johns' entire Green Lantern run. Start with Rebirth and make yourself comfortable. When it gets to Sinestro Corps War, prepare to have your mind blown.
Grant Morrison's Batman. All of it. It takes a few volumes to get going, and Batman RIP is nearly incomprehensibly weird, but after that, it becomes the best Batman stuff I've read in 20 years. And yes, that includes DV, LH, and Hush.

Secret Origin, I might wait til it's in paperback. I notice they worked on New Krypton (or some of it), is that arc worth checking out?

New Krypton is alright. I was a little disappointed, but don't let that stop you. I gotta give them credit for such a long and ambitious story like that. It's worth a read, but I think you can get it from the library.

I dunno man, the library where I'm at sucks on toast.
So, I'm REALLY digging All-Star Superman so far (finished the first book; cracking open the second tonight), and I've just ordered Brainiac, the Legion of Super-Heroes, and Last Son (hey, it's Johns, it's Donner, it's gotta be good, right?). And that's not counting the 20-ish TPBs on my 'save-for-later' list.
Couldn't I have gone with a cheaper addiction, like cocaine?

It IS an addiction.
Fun tip. Look for deals on Amazon and eBay.
Fun tip #2. Go to conventions. Lots of them. Find the magical half-off trade bins. Or better, the $5 trade bins. Bring a strong backpack.

I've said it before but Batman The Cult is a seriously good read. Batman gets caught by The Cult and completley brainwashed by them. Also it has Jason Todds Robin in it which is a bonus!

So after waiting patiently, some seller on Amazon had new copies of Dark Victory for 12 cents (yes - twelve cents. With shipping, it was $4.11). Mostly out of curiosity, I ordered it... and here it is, pretty much as advertised. I can understand why they'd want to knock the price down, with that slightly wonky spine, but it doesn't exactly make the book unreadable. Even still... $4.11!!!
