A buddy of mine was showing off some beautiful tattoos he got recently from his guy, and they are straight up fucking beautiful looking. My buddy designs his own tattoos but the dude who does them is a straight up artist. The coloring is like nothing I've seen on a tat before, and I really think I'm gonna go for it and get a Superman one. I don't know if I want it to be the symbol (the Reeve "S") or the character, like in the comic cover there or something similar.

So we don't get too off-topic on the Snyder thread, I wanted to start a discussion about Superman ink here.
I turn the big 3-0 in late July, and I'm considering a tattoo. I've always wanted the shied, but I'm unsure of the style. Should I keep it a simple black or go full color? I've got a big decision to make, so I wouldn't mind a little advice from friends here who took the plunge.

I'd go full color. If I get the symbol, which I probably will (the Reeve "S") it'll definitely be in full color. But I also really like the idea of the classic Superman pose instead, or one of these:   |

I'm looking at all the versions of the shield, trying to decide what I want. I guess it also depends on whether I'll just get basic black or spring for color. I know I'll be crucified for this, but I'm favoring the L&C version. I like it better than the standard shield and the SR shield.  Jim Lee's shield is also an option.  |

I have a superman tribal tattoo design that Indus years ago in the event that I ever get a tattoo. It's on my laptop at my office and won't be able to upload it till Monday. I've posted it in the forum before prolly at the old forum.
If I did go with just the s logo I'd prolly go for one that I did myself or the C. Reeve S logo since that's one if my favorite Superman logos. But there's tons of different versions of the logo too... Finding the right one could be a bit of a challenge.

One thing I don't want is the Reeve shield, mostly because once I get the Blu-ray anthology, I'm done with Reeve as Superman. It's a definitive portrayal, but I want something new.
