Hi everyone, I just wanted to share these pics of the AMAZING 1/3 scale Superman costume which I have commissioned for use on BobbyC's upcoming 1/3 scale Christopher Reeve as Superman statue. This costume is the first prototype that has been made and the belt, sleeves and collar are still work in progress. The body form was created by Bob for the costume makers to tailor the costume but the final pose is still to be confirmed. This costume has been constructed in the same way as the original costume. It is an incredible achievement that the costume makers have been able to create the "S" emblem in the chest by sewing it IN to the tunic (rather than just sticking a patch on the top of the costume). The fabric colours used on this miniature costume have been matched to an original Reeve costume.    Chris |

Kudos to the person who made that for you! The blue looks just about perfect, and the emblem is spot-on.
The head is in the works?

Thanks guys. Yes - the blue (and the red and yellow) are a 99% match to the colours of an original Reeve costume that I was lucky enough to see in person. (The second pic showing the close-up is actually a pretty good representation of how the colour looks in person - at least it is on my monitor). This really is a perfect scaled replica of the full size costume! Bobby C is working on several heads and will pick the best one to complete this statue. It will be comleted in Silicone with real hair and I'm guessing it will look unbelievably realistic when finished. Exciting times! Chris Kudos to the person who made that for you! There will be more than 1, but not many. Bobby C will determine the final number when he's a bit closer to finishing the head sculpt. It will certainly be an EXTREMELY rare and limited edition though! Chris Will it be just the one figure or will there be more more made? |

Awesome! Just lookin at the pictures, if I didn't know before hand that it was 1/3 scale, I would have thought it was the real thing. Awesome job with the details. Can't wait to see the final product.
Might have to get this.. I need something really cool for my Superman collection. Everything is so expensive I don't have much of a collection lol.

Hi Keith, Glad you like it. That's exactly the effect we were going for. I told the costume makers that we wanted this to be almost indistinguishable from the full size version and all credit to them - they totally delivered that level of realism. I'm pretty sure this would be the most expensive item in your collection. Not sure of final pricing yet and as I mentioned, there will only be a very small handful of them made. Bobby C will have to determine the final price. This is not my project - I just handled the costuming side of things and commissioned the costume makers to do it.
