I didn't really plan on getting this, but after reading Invincible, I really enjoyed the writing and learned it was the same writer as Walking Dead.
I haven't watched the show yet at all, which I hear is fantastic, but I wanted to read a couple before I watched it.
I bought book one, and I gotta say, out of everything I've been reading lately, it is the fucking best. Just REALLY goddamn great. And I love how it's not really about the zombies at all. It's about the people. That's the best kind of story. I can't wait to read more.

I've read the first 14 volumes. 15 comes out soon. It's pretty amazing. It can be a downer when you read a ton of them in short time, but it's still an impressive piece of work.

Yeah, I can definitely see it being a downer. It's all so damn bleak. The black and white makes it even more so.
I probably won't go for the whole thing, especially if it's ongoing. Unless it's completely recommended. If there's a stopping point worth stopping at, lemme know.

That's just it. There isn't. It just gets better and better as it builds up a head of steam. Around volume 8 or 9 I don't think I could turn the pages fast enough.
