Anyone read this book? I finally tracked down a copy for decent money, arrived today. Surprised at the format of the book, seems most comprehensible.
If anyone has read it, would love to hear thoughts

I've been debating getting this for years. I've held off mainly because I have two more up to date books on the Adventures of Superman series that pretty much chronicle everything (Flights of Fantasy and the Adventures of Superman Companion) . But everyone says that the Serial to Cereal book set the benchmark for resource info on the show.

Its very good, read most of it last night. Dated though. The author is 100% sure "we'll never get to see the Kirk Alyn serials again". A lot of info in the book (mostly actor bio's) you can read on the net. Some good insight into some Reeve's eps though and interesting behind the scenes info. I was wondering how the author felt about the far out "Flight from the North" episode, happy he gave it high reviews lol. Ben Weldon, who must have been everyone's favourite stock player from the Reeves show, was interviewed which is awesome.
Gonna look for those books you mention there.

Flights of Fantasy is the most comprehensive behind the scenes book on the 50s TV series and the 40s radio series ever written. The author does extensive research and even dispels some of the info put forth in the Serial to Cereal book. It's available on amazon: www.amazon.com/Flights-Fantasy-Unauthorized-Adventures-Superman/dp/1593933444/The AOTS Companion book is only available through the author's website. He used to sell it through ebay so you might want to email him to find out if he still has copies left. It has big glossy pages, full color episode guides/reviews, trivia, memorabilia section. A beautiful companion to the show. The book's official site: www.grsupermanbook.com/Home/Welcome.html

Hi All, Based on this post, I bought this book. on 7/6 from www.supermanbook.com. It still hasn't arrived. I tried emailing Gary at the site on 7/22, but he didn't reply. Did anybody else order from this site? How long did it take to arrive? Thanks, Jim

Superman vs. Hollywood is pretty good. There aren't a ton of new revelations, but it's a great collection of all the behind-the-scenes stuff we already knew. It's definitely written for people like us.
