Very interesting. Especially considering the rest of the group are more popular right now.
I guess it's because Superman is more of a godly ideal while the other four are very flawed. Batman had a traumatic childhood and is seemingly enslaved to becoming a crimefighter. Iron Man is cocky and arrogant, but can also be a shallow drunk. Spider-Man is a kid who is marginalized by everyone and lives a mostly mundane life outside of being Spider-Man. And Wolverine is a short, hairy guy who's always pissed off.

I doubt those guys read comicbooks from that site. They probably know the character from tv and movies.
I'm also pretty sure that if a SR sequel had happened, the character would be a lot more popular. Oh well.

Don't know why the .gif I put here isn't there anymore, but for those curious, it was a shot from the old Superfriends cartoon with Superman bobbing his head in Batman's face. As if to say "In yo face!!"
