I like this format, but my poor-ass budget is preventing me from buying any. I can buy these OR I can buy Grant Morrison's Action run. No contest.

The Green Lantern book so far was my favorite. The JLA book was also entertaining. 80s issues come out tomorrow.
Batman felt like a 70s book. Superman not so much. The colors weren't as vibrant. And I wish they didn't have the art go to the edge of the comics. That right there tells me it's a modern book and not from the 70s. But still, nice to read some one shots from classic writers.
I got The Flash and Batman Retroactives for $2 each at Comic Con.

Also picked up those two. Nice to see Mike Grell work on Green Arrow/Canary again, though it's clear that he kind of rushed through the assignment, when you compare it to his earlier work back in the day. The B&W version is available for viewing on his website, which is pretty cool!
JLA was fun- though pity that they didn't include the second half of the 'crossover' reprint...

this started great, but it ends with a bust. retro-70's gets rave reviews. retro-80's has a 90's themed cover, and amalgamises that pre-byrne and post-byrne versions! retro-90's is simonson ans BOGDANOVE! the WORST of the 90's teams!
