Yeah, it's like nobody is allowed to love the movie anymore. And if you do, you are punished for it by many. Stupid internet.

Not a fan of the \S/ belt buckle or the boots (there's too much going on), but I really like Routh's suit. Texture looks great in HD. But, his suit only really looks good when the movie decides to show it off brightly. Aside from him entering the crashed plane, I don't remember many eye-popping shots of it. The rest of the time, it's night, dark and cloudy, or through that horrible brown color filter. Yeah, it's especially true during the scene where he confronts Luthor on New Krypton. That's a scene where the bright colors would have been a perfect contrast to the dark nightmare vibe they were going for with the visuals. It just looks so drab and brown there. It looks good at other points, the scene you mentioned inside the crashed plane for example.

There are parts of the movie that I think look fantastic visually (The sequence that begins with Clark looking at Lois go up the elevator to the Supes/Lois flying sequence comes to mind, RTK certainly, Superman's 'death'/falling from the skies/Superman's talking to Jason while he sleeps as some examples) .... but there are times where I do wonder about the color palette used in repeat viewings- the teal and brown definitely felt strange, wasn't sure why they chose those as the primary colors for the film.

Yeah, the photography is absolutely gorgeous in some scenes. It was also beautifully shot overall.
