I've learned "Be careful what you wish for"!!
I've come to realise I prefer the theatrical cuts of all Supey movies, which when all is said and done, is a blessing IMO

It was nice to see the deleted scenes, and I prefer to watch the Donner cut because of the Margot/Reeve chemistry. I still like the Lester cut, though. It's great to have a choice

Gandy, will your work be reproduced (and updated, obviously) in a separate section of Caped Wonder? Preferably one which keeps the classic black/silver look of Superman Cinema?
Try to do it...

Updated or not, seeing it archived somewhere would be fantastic. There's always a new generation that may want to know even more about the behind the scenes on the Donner films beyond the documentaries on the dvds.....

Gandy, It's sad to see SupermanCinema disappear from the internets in it's original form. I found the site oh somewhere in 98, when I was living on my own for the first time, and going to the library to get my internet fix of movie news and yahoo chats lol. I learned so much about Superman 2 from your site, because I to had a vague memory of seeing the Fortress being destroyed and people thought I was nuts lol. Then about a year after finding and lurking in the forums, I joined lol. I thank you for all your time and effort that was put into this site and into the Superman movies themselves. We owe it to you for the Donner cut, and if it wasn't for that we probably wouldn't have gotten half of the special features, deleted scenes and even the footage that was thought to be lost for SIV. If you go and rewrite all this info, it would be great if you were able to make it into a book for publishing. It makes for a good read. Title it: Superman in the Cinema: The Untold Story Thanks again Gandy...

As a someone who's lurked around the website and forum since about 2002 (and has still only racked up 126 posts) I know there will be many more people who are thankful for Superman Cinema than just these guys here.
Gandy, there are very few people in the world who have done as much as you for furthering our plight as fans. Be proud of your achievements, and be lucky in future.
All the best from a grateful fan,
Tristan

Thanks guys. An announcement about the future should be revealed this month. It's not quite over, but it will be quite different. Should be fun.

I can't.
Fucking.
Believe.
Superman Cinema fucking CLOSED DOWN.
How in the FUCK did I miss it until now??? Was it because I was going through a major move, moving from Miami to Dallas in September-October? Was I, maybe, not here that much around that time?
I feel like I just got home to find our home is gone.
I'm really frustrated with myself. I *ALWAYS* manage to miss major changes in our community despite "being here".
What the fuck?!

Yeah.
I guess when these posts were coming out, I was busy uprooting my life and my fiance's life from one city to another.
And totally missed the news.
Wow.
I know it's several months late, but Superman Cinema has been the most important website to me.
I've joined and participated in countless forums, and I've forgotten and left 99.9% of them.
Except this one.
This is home.
I've changed and grown and lived in different places and SC has always been here through my adult life's journey.
And it's nice to know I can come home here.
Thanks, Dharm.

Thanks, Jimbo. I feel less guilty now because those posts and announcements were made as I was making my move from Miami to Dallas, which was personal and professional upheaval. That's exactly why I missed it, but damn. You would think I would've caught on a little sooner.

Is somebody going to remove the 1990s looking "The OFFICIAL Message Board of Superman Cinema!" marquee?

Is somebody going to remove the 1990s looking "The OFFICIAL Message Board of Superman Cinema!" marquee? Yeah, & maybe at the same time I'll remove an instigating, negative for the sake of being negative, chronic shit-stirrer who has " PLEASE LOOK AT ME FOR FUCKS SAKE!" avatars & sig pics. Or maybe I'll just keep the marquee and the member. Yeah, I'll do that.
