Houston! Are You Ready To Kneel Before Zod on Sunday 11/13? Alamo Drafthouse Dynamic Duos!

Last month got Synamic Duos here in Houston to a great start with our heckBOY 2/DARKMAN double feature, and this month we're screening two of the best known superhero films of all time. That's right - Richard Donner's SUPERMAN THE MOVIE and SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT. I actually haven't seen the Donner Cut yet, and to see it on the big screen sounds like it's going to be terrific.
For Dynamic Duos we're starting something a bit new for the series - Dynamic Debates! What does this mean for you? Well, possibly two free movie tickets, your dinner and non-alcoholic drinks comped for the night, that's what! This will require a little work on your part, but the payoff is very worth it. We're going to choose two people to debate in front of the audience, and just so you know up front, there will be public speaking involved, so if you're a little shy, you might want to either stone up or not participate. But if you do decide to do it, I think you'll have a lot of fun and you'll get to see two great movies for free, as well as eat and drink and be merry!
What's the topic? Well, what you should do is send an essay (don't worry, we're not asking for a novel, make it no more than 300 words) on this subject : Who is the more relevant superhero today, Superman or Batman? Send it to dynamicduosalamo@gmail.com by Wednesday, November 9th. We'll pick the two best entries for each side, and notify them by e-mail. You then show up at Mason Park 11/13 at 5:00 PM and get your debate on! You should be prepared to talk about your point of view for at least 10 minutes, and please, don't get personal and punch the other person. That's not the way of the superhero! The winner of the debate will receive a prize package from 8th Dimension Comics and Games and Ain't It Cool News!

Hopefully it's not the same there. Outside of the premiere with Donner, I doubt any film prints were made.
