It's over now but Terence Stamp was on BBC Radio 2 about 30 mins ago talking about his new book that is coming out.
He also talked about getting cast as Zod and working with Brando.
I will post a link when it goes online later.

Cool. I look forward to it. Thanks for sharing!! Tell us, did he mention anything as far as his "character motivation" when under different directors? By that I mean, does he mention anything like 'Donner told me to play Zod like Satan re-incarnate" but Lester told me to "play it off like a sci-fi/action movie villain and go a little over the top"?

Does he remember standing on top of the Washington Monument and making a speech?

He talked of Gary Cooper,James Dean as his idols.being unemployed for eight years. Going to India etc...
He said nothing of Zod or character approach... he talked about Brando, mentioned Donner... said that the flying was painful, but they carried on with it as kids would love the film and believe that a man could fly. That we did and do...
I bet his book will be an excellent read...

Ya know, it's funny. One of the main arguments we make regarding Superman 2 is that Lester made the villains too campy. However, if there's anything Stamp's other film characters, as well as his personality in general (no pun intended) has shown, is that the man really has a knack for comedy. Anyone here catch his cameo in Jim Carreys "Yes Man"? I only saw that part and thought Stamp was hilarious.

downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio2/grahamnorton/grahamnorton_20111126-1652a.mp3Terence starts at the 35min mark and talks Supes from the 41 min mark. They go off topic for a few minutes then go back to Supes. [i just realised they cut out several minutes of the interview...basically Stamp tells a rude story about Brando on set. Brando pointed at 2 women and said "Terence those girls want your dick." Stamp says "what about your dick Marlon?" Brando replies " they've had my dick" Stamp then says he has lots of Brando stories, they are in the book I think.

His impression of Brando is spot on. definitely gonna look for the book.
