So this news has got me pretty psyched as I really like the lego games
From Comic Book Resources
"When "Lego Batman" arrived onto consoles in 2008, the game introduced both kids and comic book fans to a terrific take on the Dark Knight's legacy, one that replaced the seriousness with joyful co-op action and the opportunity to play as both heroes (Batman, Robin) and villains (The Joker, Riddler and others). The game performed well for Warner Bros. Games and the title's publisher, so it should come as no surprise that a continuation of the franchise would be in the cards.
According to a report on Bricktuts, "Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes" is in the works for various consoles, and rumored for release sometime next summer. Like the original, the game will give you the opportunity to play as either hero or villain through a pre-set story campaign, either working solo or teaming up with a friend in co-op play.
The big difference this time around is that the game won't be limited to the confines of Gotham City. This time, various characters from the "DC Universe" will be joining the never-ending battle on the sides of both good and evil. You can expect to see Lex Luthor, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and others battling alongside and against the Caped Crusader, each possessing their own special abilities. Expect plenty of brick-breaking battles, along with puzzles and the same type of charming humor the Lego series of video games has become known for.
"Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes" is set to arrive in summer 2012, around the same time "The Dark Knight Rises" will hit movie theaters. Lego is reportedly planning to release various Batman-related toy sets that tie-in with the film."
