This last Friday, I was chatting with a guy I work with about comics and films. When I mentioned Superman, he told that he was an extra in Superman IV. At first, I thought he was one of the background children during the scene when Superman walks with Jeremy to the United Nations building, but he told me he was one of Jeremy’s classmates. I quizzed him on it to make sure he wasn't making stuff up, but he knew about the deleted scene where Superman visits the class that was cut out of the film. To my knowledge, he has not seen the special edition of the film with the deleted scenes.
He briefly elaborated about how his father was stationed in England and for scenes that required American children, classes of children of that sort would be the first place they would go. So he and his class were cast in the parts and even used their classroom as the set.
I’m planning to conduct a more in depth interview about his experience and I was wondering if any of you had any certain questions you’d like for him to answer.

Christ. That's ridiculous! Ask him what it was like being a kid and seeing Christopher Reeve as Superman in person.
The Superman coincidences surrounding the members of this board is so odd. It's too much, sometimes. Like destiny, almost. Would this shit happen if we weren't all such fans?

What I'd like to know is were the scenes of Jeremy daydreaming and Superman later answering the letter filmed on the same day?

What I'd like to know is were the scenes of Jeremy daydreaming and Superman later answering the letter filmed on the same day? Had to be. That would be the cheapest option. I'll have to back and see if the kids are all wearing the same clothes in both scenes.

I would like to know so many things
1) Did he 'hang' with McLawhorn off set
2) What was McLawhorn really like
3) Was he attracted to McLawhorn
4) Was McLawhorn attracted to him
5) If he aware of McLawhorn ostracising himself from the other kids by bragging of his lead role status?
6) Does he know if McLawhorn at any point tried to come on to the woman playing his teacher
7) Does he know whether McLawhorn placed the hot dog by Superman's crotch on purpose

I would like to know if it would have been cooler for Kamdan to work with one of McLawhorn's actual classmates, which is what I first thought when I read the header. Sure, the guy wouldn't have met Christopher Reeve, but he'd be more suited to answer Hursty's questions!
