I admit I'm curious to see what Batman will be and look like. It'll never happen but it would be cool if they took some inspiration from Birds of Prey for Batman and his world since early on the plan may have been for Smallville and BoP to be connected. It'd be more cool if they used Bruce Thomas's likeness.

Today was a skip week for Smallville (three weeks on, one off). So come next weekend, I'll let you know what I think and if it's worth 99 cents to you.
But, as I've said before, probably not. The first "chapter" of an "episode" is the pre-credits teaser. So we won't get into the meat of the for at least two weeks.

As a "Smallville" fan, I absolutely LOVE this comic and will go as far so to say it's be best Superman comic DC is putting out right now. "Superman" is consistently terrible and "Action" lost its way a long time ago. It's great to FINALLY have Clark as Superman and doing all the things he should have been doing on the show years ago. And having Lex back too! Oh how he was missed during the last three seasons. I don't get the weekly digital versions (which I understand are doing tremendously well in sales, btw), I wait for the monthly printed collections that have (I think) 3 installments an issue. The stories feel much more complete that way and I enjoy having hard copies regardless. The first arc was great and the Batman one is off to a good start. Not too crazy about the Batman costume, but that's just nitpicking. The updated Superman costume is way better than the New 52 version. PS. Last year at SDCC I asked about a potential "Smallville" comic continuation at the Superman panel. Dan Didio said that was a "great idea" and Jim Lee said I'd be "presently surprised." My guess this was in the works back then they just weren't ready to announce it yet. But I like to think the applause I started for myself after their comments helped push it through to becoming a reality.

I'm sure most if not all of you guys aren't reading this, but let me tell you, you're missing out. The Batman story has been GREAT so far. I continue to be VERY pleased with this comic.

I'm honestly a bit interested in this. Maybe I'll take a look at the TPB when it comes out.

I realize now that being a fan of Smallville was like being in an abusive relationship. I just kept waiting for it to get better. I just KNEW in my heart it would eventually give me what I want. Sometimes it would be nice to me for a week or two. Then it would just punch me in the face again.
The odds of me ever re-visiting that show, with the possible exception of the Legion and JSA episodes, are close to zero.

So now they're bringing in Dianah now, giving us two rebooted takes on the Princess at once, wonder if they'll spice up Clark's comfort zone with her? (although given the seven year time jump, we know things will turn out alright for him and Lois anyway)
