Stumbled upon this blog by accident, and kind of got lost in it--they just compile all sorts of alternate costumes for heroes by (mostly) known artists in the industry. Cutting-room floor and private collection type stuff. Real interesting. Here's a link: www.tencentticker.com/projectrooftop/Post stuff that catches your eye! I really dig this conceptual old school anime JLA by Wonder Woman artist Cliff Chiang. I totally would have watched this growing up:

Very fun! Thanks for putting this up! Also very Ultraman and Speed Racer-esque!

Love this late 80s/early 90s Warriors-esque take on the Ninja Turtles, too.

Reminds me of "Stan Lee Presents..."
Check that....it was "Imagine Stan Lee..."

The flash one is pretty sweet.

Always loved that Batman one, even though it's a pretty direct ripoff the Ultimate Captain America.
The Supes--love that Alex Ross "S," but hate those red "gills" on the side. I wouldn't trade this one for the MoS suit.
I can only hope the next Batman film goes in this direction with the costume. Would love something more cloth like and practical looking in the future (I know, I know... it'll never happen).
Green Lantern---eh, not much new.
Flash--interesting concept, but don't like the covered face.

a covered face actually seems like something for a villian, not a hero.

a covered face actually seems like something for a villian, not a hero. To me it just looks too much like Spiderman (Scarlet Spider, specifically). It also reminds me of this GI Joe Snake Eyes figure I used to have:

Yeah I do agree with you, but it's still a pretty cool and interesting alternate flash costume.

I really like that Batman design. Man, I really hope Batman in JL has a more realistic fabric costume instead of the rubber/armor look he's had since 89. I really want to see a dark blue/grey costume with a mask that's totally moveable and the black/yellow logo on the chest. The above picture is perfect!

Since we're on the topic, here's the "Ultimate" versions of the characters Wizard Magazine came up with a few years ago that I've always been a fan of: If Timothy Dalton was Tony Starke in the comics than this Superman is... ;D ;D ;D ;D I want to see Sean Connery as The Hulk!
