Well.
A while back, I got a random bunch of comics along with the old school Flash ones I was looking for on eBay. Amongst these random bunch was an issue of The New Teen Titans.
It was so goddamn enjoyable, I bought a few more, read them, and got the entire series.
So I have that, now.
<sigh>

Woflman/Perez Teen Titans is arguably the greatest extended run by a creative team in the history of DC Comics.

Why is there a second series that pops up in '84 even though the first run didn't end 'til 86? There were TWO Teen Titans running at the same time?

I think the New Teen Titans by Wolfman has just gotten a softcover release.

I read the first two issues. Easily the greatest first two issues of a series I've ever read. I mean, godDAMN, they just fucking go for it in this comic. Wolfman NAILS the characters, Perez provides true pieces of real, beautiful art in EVERY single panel, the dialogue rings true and doesn't sound hokey, the angst is honestly perfect and necessary and not at all overdone. Each character is expertly crafted in his or her own unique way, they all have their own very different purposes and backgrounds and personalities, and their reasonings behind their actions are just so ridiculously real and true that it's almost stupid.
My God...I can't WAIT to read the rest of this shit. It's just extraordinary. Out of all the random shit I've been reading, this is thus far, easily the greatest.
