I've always like the third movie becuase it was a fun 80s comedy in a way. It's not full on slapstick all the time, as the movie has some dire events. I mean, Superman helps cause an oil crisis just years after the panic in the 70s. I'm sure our parents could tell us that was a sore time, financially.
It was fun to see how much the Newmans pulled from the source material to make a fairly coherent script.
