Richard Donner is scheduled to be at Capefest- It's for Goonies, but if Selutron is reading this and wants to nail down Donner to get him to reconsider okaying him doing a new cut of SII..... or, just curious about Donner's work in general, why not attend? Anyhow- don't know if this has been mentioned yet- There's quite a number of cool things as well for Capefest here- www.ew.com/ew/special/0,,20687529,00.html By the way... unless I'm reading it wrong- non-members' tickets are a whopping $11 dollars!

Selutron? Come on man... You lured me in with the "but...." and I feel cheated.

Ah, sorry Jimbo- I shoulda rephrased it maybe.
I was thinking that most might not be excited about Goonies here necessarily- BUT it's still Donner and I was half-joking when I suggested maybe he'd be open to Superman questions as well or autographs (although the event doesn't say if it will or won't).
I know we don't live close to the event, but for those who're in L.A. --- heck, it's 11 bucks including the movie and seemed like a good deal. I expected it to be a lot more, as most movie tickets are about that price now anyhow...

I feel somewhat envious as I would like the autographs of some of the people listed. On the flipside I have BFI membership which I have used to obtain autographs. Notables are General Zod, I mean Terrance Stamp, Diana Rigg and Charles Dance.

That's awesome! Did they allow you to take any photos next to the General?

No, I only just managed to obtain Zod's autograph. We were waiting for him to come into the BFI but he came in via a different entrance. They ushered him off, I went off for a bit and found out that a few minutes after I'd gone he was signing a few autographs. Later on when Zod was going to the 'gents', he signed on the way out. So I have Lester and Zod on my Superman 2. Hope to get Ursa next.

That's awesome! I went to a local convention where Kidder, McClure, and O'Halloran were in attendance- I got Kidder's signature on a color still photo (it's from the RDC of the balcony scene), but unfortunately I had an acquaintence that made a bit of an ass of himself in front of them (long story) and just wanted to put a paper bag over my head and run out of there then and there--- otherwise I could have gotten their signatures, too. Oh well...
