I don't see Superman on Cavil's face. No surprise, eh? ;D I think his look, his eyes, especially, is more suited for James Bond, or even a Batman. There is some cynicism in him, and I don't like that. I think Supes should look real wholesome and decent. And I dont quite get that from him. And since Brandon is perfect to me in the role, well... Any way, there is a very promising Update on Dead of Night (the Dylan Dog movie), in which Brandon will be the lead, The Platinum Gazette January 2009Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT (Brian Altounian) This week will mark the close of financing and the formal start of pre-production on our feature film, Dead of Night, based on the Italian comic character, Dylan Dog, a project you have all been following through our press releases and SEC filings. Think of the story as a cross between James Bond and Underworld — Dylan is a private investigator who is reluctantly dragged into a fight between zombies, werewolves and vampires. Like most Hollywood film projects, this film has seen many starts and stops. To expedite the process of closing the financing, Platinum Studios has taken over the production entity responsible for producing the film. In a down economy and with banks and other financiers sitting on the sidelines of Hollywood, we think it says a lot about our tenacity and capability that we will soon be in production on our own film from our own IP library, for which we have secured outside, independent financing. We expect to begin principal photography in New Orleans next month, with an anticipated release of Spring 2010. This is very exciting for us. investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=35116573And this, Munroe's Update on Dead of Night Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor January 26, 2009 Writer-director Kevin Munroe dropped ShockTillYouDrop.com a line to provide us a status report on Dead of Night, a proper adaptation of Tiziano Sclavi's comic book which served as an inspiration for Cemetery Man. Since our last chat in November, Munroe says there have been some developments. "We're hopefully going to New Orleans next week to begin location scouting," Munroe tells us. "Filming will hopefully begin at the end of March. The crew is coming together right now. The script is pretty much done and we started going out to the cast last week. It was fun to start sending it out to the people we think would be right for the film. Everyone is responding to it really well. It's nice to know you're not the only one in the room who thinks it's a great project." Leading man Brandon Routh will star as Dylan Dog, but the Superman Returns actor recently committed to Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Will that create any conflicts? Munroe is confident it won't affect his shooting schedule. "I think everyone is aware of each other. I know Eric Gitter who is the producer on that project and it's not even an overlap. Dead of Night will wrap then [Brandon] will go on to Scott Pilgerim so it's totally fine." For more on Munroe's intentions with the film, visit this story. Keep your eye on Shock, will have more with Munroe on another project he's pulled into the ring very soon! www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=9352Nice!

I'm hearing from some that Routh is actually bigger than Reeve was. I know for certain that Reeve is taller so I assume this is referring to muscle mass. But I don't see it at all. Even if the suit makes him seem thinner I don't think it would make him appear so thin that he looks smaller than someone he's supposedly larger than.

Exclusive Video Interview: Brandon Routh talks SCOTT PILGRIM and DYLAN DOG at the premiere of "Fanboys" www.collider.com/entertainment/interviews/article.asp/aid/10775/tcid/1*sigh* Brandon screams Superman. I also like his voice and the way he talks. He is so expressive. There is also this little interview to director Gregor Jordan, where he talks about his latest movie "Unthinkable" that also stars Brandon, as well as Samuel L. Jackson among others. And apparently he says that "Unthinkable" is going to be incredible. Here is part of the interview, ''Well, the great thing about Unthinkable is, it’s on the surface, anyway, it’s an old-fashioned Hollywood thriller'', the director says of the pic. ''You know, you feel like you’re about to see, like, a Tom Clancy international thriller, kind of thing. Then it quickly turns into something else and Unthinkable is going to be incredible. The script’s incredible. I mean, I don’t want to sort of like – overhype it, or anything like that, but it literally is one of the most amazing scripts I’ve ever read.'' www.moviehole.net/200917546-jordans-unthinkable-amazing

That flaming lib! Make that guy join an NRA meeting! Like you said, he and Reeve have a lot in common. DUDE! Even from that angle he looks HUGE! When the MOS gets made, Routh is going to be a MONSTER! He just may end up looking like this guy!

I'm not a fan of Martin Luther King. MLK day of service means beating your hookers and plagliarizing your school papers! And being a Communist... not very Superman-like. IMHO

I just meant to say that Martin Luthor King isn't the cultural saint he has been made out to be. He cheated on his wife... he used his last night on Earth beating up his white hookers yelling "I'm not a Negro tonight!!" and "im f ing for God!" Plus it has been found that Dr. King's Doctoral Dissertation was heavily plagliarized (as was most of his speeches including I Have A Dream which ironically his family is trying to copyright and make $$$ on) but his Doctorate wasn't taken away cause it woulda resulted in riots! It's proof that King is untouchable because to criticise him automatically makes you racist! He also DID have Communist ties... or at least surrounded himself with people who did... that's why he was being wiretapped by the FBI and his drunken sex parties were recorded (and will be released in about 20 years cause a lib judge sealed them ) Anyway..... DOWN WITH MLK DAY!! No one else has there own holiday in the US! Call it what it IS::: Civil Rights Day! Now back to Superman Returns::: I do agree that ole' Routh seems a little too PC carrying that MLK banner. I think he should enlist or something.;.. serve the country and THEN he might be Superman material.

forget about MLK cheating on his wife. SHE forgave him so we dont need to worry about it . whats MORE relevant is the Kennedy administration illegally wire-tapping MLK to discredit him - YET - the black community worships the kennedy's to this day. its some wierd pathological thing. but i digress- we'll bring it up in thepolitics thread.
oh-

BRING BACK ROUTH!!!!!!!!!back on topic! All right I'll totally school y'all on this MLK nonsense but we'll talk about Superman here. However, I AM 100% correct; MLK was a liar, a cheat and a fraud. The only good thing was his message, we should celebrate that... NOT THE MAN. ANYHOO I LOVE that pic of Routh. I think Routh looks more like Supes in his regular pics than when he does when dressed the part!
