What was better: MoS or its trailers?

I got a certain expectation from the trailers, particularly the ComicCon and "World's too big" trailers. They were incredibly well done. I wish the whole movie had been like those trailers.

The trailers were better, but then they usually are.

ATP did you really enjoy the original trailers that much? If I remember correctly you picked most of them apart singling things out and referring to them as retarded. I was surprise you 'liked' MOS because going on what you had said in the build up and with the trailers released it seemed like you were set up to hate it.

The Trailers were AWESOME.

Same with '300', and 'Watchmen'--- I don't recall viewing the trailer to 'Sucker Punch'.

Snyder has some fantastic talent visually. His Sucker Punch action sequences are great.

James Cameron's visuals aren't as strong, but on the flip side, he's a good (enough) writer and knows how to direct action and dramatic scenes as good as the best, fully deserves the 'Best Director' Oscar he got. It suprised the heck out of me that Cameron said that HE analyzes Snyder's films to see how Snyder gets that edge visually. (I would have been horrified if Cameron praised the performances in Snyder's films).

I loved the Comic Con and Trailer 2.

Trailer 3 gave me a "feel good" sensation due mainly to the incredible Hans Zimmer music.

Trailer 4 started to set off red flags for me.

But still, I have been waiting months and months to love MoS. I was so excited about it. It felt like it was going to be an "event" for me again.

On balance, I have to say I "like" it now. I did love parts of MoS, but I think I also just loved the idea of being in the cinema for a brand new Superman movie.
