Hi all,
I am a teacher in an inner city school. We have a couple of days left. Final Exams are over. Teachers are packing up their rooms and calculating grades. I decided to let my 9th grade class watch Superman Returns today. Some of these kids are so far removed from Superman that they didn't know who Lois Lane was.
Anyways, I thought something was interesting. Supes saved the plane and set it down in the ball field. The audience in the stadium bursts into applause. Students in my class did the same thing! I was stunned that they were that into the movie.
Thought I'd share....
Jim

That's cool. Always nice to hear stuff like that. Superman fans can be a nervous, self concious lot. So any reinforcement that superman "is cool" is always nice.

Very cool.... though, for that age range--- were they able to hang with it to the end?

Good question. Our periods are 55 minutes, so they didn't have a choice to sit through the whole thing. Tomorrow I will ask if they want to continue watching it. If so, we still wouldn't finish it until Wednesday.
