Superman would never have left the Fortress.

Lois would have been shot by the mugger after Lois insults him with a dick comment the mugger gets her purse, lipstick and credit cards.
Lex would have collapsed California, creating 'Marina Del Lex', though 'Otisburg' would still never happen.
On the other hand, the Phantom Zone criminals would be still be safely locked away.
Superman would smile at the end of the picture, (with shakicam) still in the Fortress.
