Well, it's a dvd- made for demand. Wouldn't be on the shelves..
Still... I'm pleasantly suprised if S3 is coming out soon. A good number of shows aren't having dvd releases at all, anymore- but streaming and itunes only, which aren't/isn't as convenient imo.

I'm not a big giant huge fan of the show-its really cornball- but I think ill try to kick the tires on this one again.
That said, I've met gerard christopher a few times (not to name drop or make more than it is - but we corresponded for a time. No biggie.) and he is a cool guy. Very nice, down to earth, funny as heck. Ridiculously good looking and youthful. I would have loved to see him get superman 5.

What Conor said.
Besides, it has lots of mindless, vacuous action so you can pretend its from the 80s. Its heavy handed like Supergirl. There are robots in it like Robocop. There's a crap load of sci-fi so its like those cartoons you watch. It doesn't make much sense so its like Superman IV. Its got Kevin Costner in it FFS.
Oh, its a film about Superman.
Right up your alley.

Ok then, since you're not interest but obviously a huge Superman fan, describe what's up your alley.

It's not like Star Trek: Next Gen or anything, but I think of it as: "Semi Donnerverse done on the cheap as a kids' show".
Would I prefer that WB decide to go with making Superman as a 'Game of Thrones'-like quality genre series? Oh yeah! But...
I have a feeling it'll never happen.... The fact that they're releasing these is probably (I think) the closest we'll ever get....

I put on the first episode of season 1 this evening. Lasted about 10 mins before I switched it off. Horrible acting by all. All the flying stuff was well done though.

Have a show runner with balls enough to say "There are X seasons, and in the last episode we blow up Krypton." Of course, no one sticks to that, they just run shows into the ground.

The first season was INCREDIBLY bad. So much so, that Ilya Salkind mentioned in an interview that tv stations were getting pissed off at feeling ripped off due to the quality-
The quality picked up and continued to get better- but remember that it was always intended as a kids' show- never was going to get something to rival the films.
Given that- I found/am finding seasons 2 and particularly 3 fun to watch even with the cheese factor.

I don't think it's up to the showrunner as much as the folks paying for it.
But- a miniseries might be more feasible for that--- but, yeah, that COULD be awesome- I'd be far more interested in that than a tv show set in the Star Wars universe, for sure.
