I sure didn't! Both positive and negative reactions, I certainly did not expect this much hatred to spew forth on this once loving board as it has, but then, hey, what can you do, people want what they want!
Fuck, you clowns can't handle other people's opinions for SHIT! Like, AT ALL! Whether you loved it and others hated it or you hated it and others loved it, some of you just CANNOT handle this at all!
It's incredibly entertaining and surprising, I gotta say.

Yes Kevin it my fault and I can't handle other people's opinions when they are telling me its my fault because my expectation weren't right. Naw dude. I don't care if other people liked it. But I am going to say what I thought the problems were and I and gonna tell somebody else THEY were the problem.

I don't find MoS one of those films to get passionate about

I was just shuddering with a thought:
Imagine if this board was around in 1986...

Members would have more interesting films to talk about instead of the cookie cutter, formulaic, assembly line productions Hollywood has been pumping out even more?
A reboot would be a bit more of a rare thing compared to now? Something like Robocop would be a fresh concept that would spark debate about the concept and not the fact that its yet another rehash? More risk instead of playing it safe with familiar brand names? Back then nobody knew what a "Robocop" even meant exactly.

I had a friend (no longer for my part) years ago that was a brilliant writer, who won many awards, but constantly wanted feedback for his stories. Over and over, when anyone would say anything the least bit critical, (wasn't just me) he would start making personal insults and try to belittle the other person or the feedback that they gave (which he himself asked for). Eventually it just got too much, and realized that he didn't really want a conversation, or a give and take with mutual respect- instead he just wanted a soapbox and agreement no matter what... or else he'd start going on the attack, comparing his job, how he had a beautiful girlfriend, and how much he made to the other person, physical superiority, etc. etc. etc. --- in order to put down the other person so that he would feel better. Other folks eventually learned to just shut up around him and let him be right, or somehow not participate in conversations anymore when it came to him asking about feedback. Anyhow- yeah, this forum after MOS has felt a lot like that experience. I don't think it turned people into anything, people will either choose to respect one another while interacting or they don't want to or have it in them.... Personally, the reason I avoid the other threads (like the political discussions) because of the irrationality that sometimes comes with it--- a movie seems like it should be innocuous enough to not have it turn personal, especially about a movie about a superhero in tights. But- I guess tempers are just impossible to contain, and maybe it's human nature to go below the belt when it gets heated. (Too bad) It's maybe just commonplace, though- I've recently just seen a news item on police having to constantly break up assaults at baseball games if you happen to cheer for the other team and its gone to such an extent that they are working on having undercover cops in many of these states, despite the expense. Anyhow- I thought things were a bit rough when SR was argued about back and forth, but it's gone to a fever pitch with MOS. Good thing it's not a baseball stadium.

I have the opposite problem: I think everything I write is shit, and no one can convince me otherwise. I'm overly self-critical.
And, I'm the asshole who voted yes, by the way. I'm not surprised by some of the behavior because it's a passionate fan base. I only got pissed off when fights carried over into non-MoS threads.

Of course I saw it coming. I've seen people on the internet get militant over silly stuff all the time.

I imagine being overconfident about one's work might at times be more of a life preserver than being too critical if one ends up producing less work. Anyhow- hopefully if you love it, you're able to leap over being too harsh on your work in the long haul....

It wasn't MoS that turned people into pricks.
It was the Kryptonian Council.
That's how they transported people to the prison ship before going to the phantom zone.
