I thought Smallville put a teenie-bopper feel, but was still true to the character.
Therefore, Smallville > MOS.

Smallville was horrible, glossy, emotionally manipulative, boring crap in my opinion. Lex's neverending supply of speeches, Lana's simpering, Clark's monotonous character, shitty pop-songs-of-the-week in the background of every episode, it was all so lame and dull.
The fact that he never actually wore the suit means it is no way more 'true to the character' (which version of the character btw?) than MOS was.

I didn't realize teenage Clark wore the suit in modern times, although he did in the Silver Age.

Smallville = never ending foreplay
MOS = unemotional anti-climax
I got into the earlier eps of Smallville but nothing in MOS is worse than Lana.
Dunno. Chalk and cheese.

This is like asking if I want a chainsaw to the throat or a jackhammer to the skull.

Though I enjoyed them both, Russ makes a valid criticism with colorful metaphors. Had either of them incorporated at bit of the other - more payoff for Smallville, more build up MOS - they would've been better for it. My vote has to go to Smallville though. Ten years of growing up alongside the series as as teenager and young adult trumps 2 1/2 hours of enjoyment this summer at the theater.
