I just saw this on Netflix and it was short, but what surprised me was the ULTRA badass stories that followed featuring The Spectre, Green Arrow and Jonah Hex.
These things were cool and violent!
Are there any more like this?

I don't know if there are any that long or serious but I know Cartoon Network has lots of DC Animated shorts on their DC nation programming block.
The Hex animated short was 100 times better than the movie. Just proves yet again that the animation people understand these characters far better.

i think Batman Year One comes with an animated Catwoman short, one which i think will send your heart racing

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. It had Eliza Dushku reprising her Year One role as Catwoman.

Yeah they stopped making the shorts after "Year One" which is too bad. True to their name, they were an effective showcase of lesser known, rarely featured characters.
As the sales have gone down on these DC direct-to-video movies I guess they couldn't justify them anymore. To put it in perspective, "Doomsday" sold almost 800,000 units. No film has gone over 300,000 units in the past 3 years, and the downward trend is continuing.

They need to do a BIG event, 3 part animated feature. Make it like 4 hours long all together. Something like Crisis on Infinite Earths, death of Flash, Supergirl. Go all out, get past voice actors to reprise their character roles from different earths. Superman of Earth 1 - Tim Daly, Superman of Earth 2 - George Newbern, Kyle MccLachlan etc. Bring everyone together and make it an huge event.
That's what I'd like to see.

I'd love to see something similar, but with previous live action actors as the voice cast. Earth 1 Superman: Cavill, Earth 2 Superman: Routh (in the place of Reeve), Superboy Prime: Tom Welling, etc. A trilogy for COIE then a sequel trilogy for Infinite Crisis. Doing a direct to video animated movie might be perceived as "below" some of the actors but if Bryan Cranston can do it, they have no excuse!
