Great choice if true but I thought this would have been beneath him after things like The Master. Hopefully this is going to happen though. He's getting to Day-Lewis levels himself so if we can't have the top dog this guy will do.

He was the antagonist for Russel Crowe's "Gladiator" now he'll be the antagonist for Russel Crowe's "son". Nice little connection.. I think he'll be great if he gets it.

I thought Bryan Cranston was already announced. WTF is this shit? I think he went on record saying that his schedule was already busy and he wouldn't have been able to do it anyways.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award winner Chris Terrio has been brought on board to write another draft of Batman Vs. Superman for Warner Bros. The Argo scribe has a strong relationship with both the studio and Ben Affleck, the star and director of that movie and the man who will suit up as Batman. Director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel follow-up will be released on July 17th, 2015, with principal photography set to commence in early 2014 in Michigan. David Goyer wrote the screenplay, but the site adds that "sources say Terrio has been brought in to get the script in shape before filming begins." This is without a doubt for the best, especially as Goyer has always been at his strongest when working with more accomplished writers like Christopher Nolan.

I'd be quite happy with that to be honest.
With so many characters and Goyer on his own I'd be seriously concerned about what the pacing of that film might end up like.

Argo fuck yourselves! Anyway, I wrote some months back that I fantasy casted Joaquin as John Corben, but I'll take him as Luthor. I dig anything Joaquin has done in the last 15 years. Absolutely loved him as Cash. Reece Witherspoon was a terrible Tango, though.

I haven't even heard of Terrio coming in to polish up the script. That's pretty good news, maybe the characters will be fleshed out a little more and some dialog will be better.

Brilliant. I'd never have thought of him for Luthor but after hearing it I'll be disappointed if anyone else gets the part. WB could earn back a lot of goodwill they lost with Affleck (undeservedly) and Godot with this one. Try to do it. Please.

If you look at him and imagine him without hair, I think he's got the look.
I don't think I've seen him in anything but Gladiator.
The news makes me want to rent some of his other stuff.
