If you look at him and imagine him without hair, I think he's got the look. I don't think I've seen him in anything but Gladiator. The news makes me want to rent some of his other stuff. He was in Parenthood. But was still called Leaf back then.

He's a brilliant actor. Fantastic in Gladiator, and as has been previously acknowledged (to some degree ) he was fantastic as Johnny Cash in Walk the Line

So I was just browsing Phoenix's filmography on NetFlix, and realized that I have seen him in other films aside from Gladiator:
Signs, which I remember him being an effective co-star and funny, and I did see him in Quills, which I---again---remember him playing a good supporting character, (though that movie belonged to Rush, Caine and Winsley).
I'm almost positive he'd be a good Luthor, but why do I feel so disappointed that Bryan Cranston may not be the guy? I know he'd be Commissioner Gordon incarnate, but I dunno, I just want to see Cranston the evildoer.
