I am hesitant, lol. After the great trailer for MOS, I wanna like this and hope it is amazing, I just can't get too invested this time. That may be a good thing. Supes looks like he is taking a back seat in this one, though it does look promising in many ways.
The beginning where Bruce is running through the streets looks like maybe a new Flashback from when Supes and Zod were fighting, maybe that's what makes Bruce an enemy.
I do want this to be a good film so I will leave an open mind.

I do want this to be a good film so I will leave an open mind. The trailer credits show Christ Terrio as the main screenwriter. Maybe that'll help the film.... The main thing I see consistently bad in Snyder's films are how clunky the performances are staged/directed/edited. I hope this is good. I will be there. But... want it to be good.

I like what I see so far.. but cautious after literally blowing my load on the MOS trailer.
Not sure about Lex.... I think it could be a great new take.

In a way, the delay with the movie probably has helped me get used to many of the elements that irritated the heck out of me over the project.
With Superman Returns, there was the excitement of the Donner universe being reborn.
With the DC movieverse now, it's just like an alternate dark universe, just glad that I'm only counting on Marvel's movies for my main comic book 'fix'---so... just lowering, lowering, lowering expectations to have a good time...

This is kinda cool......Cavill acknowledging Reeve's contribution(at 22:33):

Off the top of my head I don't think he has done that before(correct me if I am wrong) and it is nice to see.
Also nice to see Amy Adams saying she watched Supes II over and over as a kid.

Amy Adams would have been a nice Lana Lang.
As Lois? Horrible. I say that Bosworth was much better, even if I didn't think Bosworth was ideal, either.

I'm actually more impressed with Trailer #2 than I was with Trailer #1 (which I thought sucked) and the MOS trailer, which also sucked IMO.
The only thing that gave me pause was Lex Luthor's long hair, which I thought looked silly.
Other than that, I actually got kinda excited about this.
Particularly since it looks like they took an MOS weakness and turned it into a strength in the sequel, but we'll see...

MOS had a lot of things that could have been great.... but more often than not, there's an awkwardness or a false moment that sticks out like a sore thumb... not unlike Watchmen. Here's hoping BvS turns out good, but Zack's track record warns me not to have too many high expectations.

Let them try.
I've adopted a new debating technique. It's called the art of fighting without fighting.

There! That's the Facebook page! That's the only film we have of it. We know they were members of your temple, Superman fans, now renegade.

It's something he never directly did in the lead up to MOS. I guess to not bring up the comparisons and make his own name. Now he feels he has or he knows MOS didn't quite work and he knows it makes him look good to look humble. I remember Adams and Fishburn talking positively about the previous films. I loved the question at the panel because they had to acknowledge they had some big shoes to file and respect the history. Gadot was the only one who really dodged the question but I think that was mostly because of her lack of familiarity with the history of this stuff. I wish Irons had acknowledged Michael Gough. It was awesome when Kenneth Branaugh did online once while talking about Batman. I loled when Affleck accidentally said Tim Burton instead of Michael Keaton.

All the talk about a serious real world Lex and putting down past incarnations as "campy" when this is by far the campiest silliest lamest looking one. Eisnenberg looks like he's in the wrong movie. It's the one thing in the trailer that I can point and flatly say I thought it sucked. I think Eisenberg even backtracked a bit at the con and said the character is inherently "campy."

Better actress than Bosworth but just as miscast. Was watching Antman and kept thinking even Lilly would have been a better Lois Lane. As far as Terrio I'm gonna wait and see. He's got an award for Argo. So what. Enrique will get what I'm saying but all I've got to say is: Academy award winning writer of Gladiator John Logan wrote Star Trek Nemesis.

Since so much post MOS now is an 'Elseworlds' version of the DC universe to me- I'm actually ok with Eisenlex being portrayed as a slighter more evil creator of Facebook. Because of the explosion of WB/DC stuff that's coming out as a knee-jerk reaction to doing nothing for decades & being pushed by Marvel, I'm getting more accepting of the idea that SOMETHING DC does will click with me outside of Nolan - and also coming to accept that my era of comics will probably be best in movies by Donner, Singer, Raimi, and Marvel. On tv- I'm waiting for the blu set of "Flash" as I'm being told by all my comix fans it's fantastic. "Arrow" is watchable- but definitely not in my top ten of tv series. I just hope Marvel productions under Feige (if the quality sticks around forever) goes on forever- and with Disney bankrolling it, it's not impossible to have it keep going on and on and on....

I got the first season of arrow the other day. I'm going to try to give the DC TV shows a chance. I did watch some of Flash and it was pretty good. They did good work on that CW budget too. To me the TV verse is finally capturing the feel of DC better than the movies seem to be.
As for DOJ Lex I don't mind him being different heck I was even down for the Zuckerberg sequel version of Luthor but this looks like a joke. To me it looks like everything Eisnenberg bragged his Lex wasn't going to be. Maybe what we saw in the trailers was a front but even when he was by himself he looked and sounded ridiculous.

While it's watchable, I just am not crazy about the core cast. I still feel Hartley from Smallville as Arrow a better choice. For some bizzare reason, I see seasons 1 and 2 of Arrow go in and out of sale prices at Target and Best Buy. Very odd. I've heard overall a degree of love for Arrow, almost unanimous love for Flash, and extremely mixed response to Supergirl. Me: not impressed with the girl chosen here and in Smallville- though I did like Adrienne Palecki as the 'first' Supergirl in Smallville... Still... Is Helen Slater that hard to replace?

As far as Supergirls go I like the little I've see of Melissa Benoist. The writing just comes off as atrocious. That's what makes her look poor. The whole tone of that pilot reminds me of the David E Kelly Wonder Woman pilot. Benoist has a good look and seems like an ok actress. She like Slater is pretty but it's a girl next door kind of pretty. I've never felt she should be model hot and gorgeous the way Wonder Woman is. Vandervoort looked too much like a model type to me. Par for the course for CW I guess. It's the problem with a lot of their casting. As for Arrow the first season turned me off. Second season it seems like it stopped trying so hard to be dark knight lite and got out of its own booty a bit.
To me Hartley works as the early pretty boy millionaire Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. Amells look is based on the "I'm a liberal smartass who gave up all my money" Green Arrow even if they haven't taken his personality all the way there yet.

Hmmm... put that way, I find it a little easier to digest Amells in the role.
