Lynda Carter’s face on Gal Gadot doesn’t look too bad considering how different their facial features and the shapes of their faces are.
Gal Gadots face on Lynda Carter just looks bizarre to me. It looks like a completely different person that’s not either one of them. Reminds me of someone but can’t put my finger on it.

As an aside, I haven't seen the new movie yet... but suprised at how much of a bad reaction it's got from the public.

I keep on saying the physical resemblance was pretty close! The voice is what got me, though.

The less objective more curious fanboy part of me is waiting for someone to start doing fan films of classic stuff like Star Trek TOS, Reeve’s Superman, The Star Wars OT, and other older properties with a final deepfake pass and polish on lost production. Cast actors with close enough physical resemblances and voices or even dub them with sound alikes and we’d be in the ultimate era of fan films.
Deepfakes and fan films are getting good enough that we could see some mind blowing stuff one day. You wanna see what happened to Chris Reeve’s Superman during the Supergirl movie? One day some geek filmmaker with the talent, ingenuity, and resources might be able to make that happen. Same with the time between Star Wars films or between TOS and the Star Trek films. Heck one of us might give it a go.
Of course the more rational side of me would never want this to happen for legal reasons and knows that with upcoming legislation lawyers and lawsuits will put the kibosh on this kind of stuff real quick but a part of me would still love to see it.

Mainly I'd love to see THREE films fixed by fan edits/deepfake if possible: #1: (Of course) Donner's Superman II as scripted by Mankiewicz #2: A fixup of Spiderman 3 .... though that would be incredibly tough without the materials to basically rewrite the movie from scratch #3: Return of the Jedi--- where Luke and Leia AREN'T brother and sister and little/no Ewoks!

Mr Thau please create deepfake villains rule the world scene Before I might have made a snide joke, but I really don't know the extent and limitations of what Thau had to work with.... so I don't want to insult anyone- but I'm just sad that the RDC editing choices turned out as poorly as it did.

LOVE Ordway's work- it's neat that he claimed to also have major love of STM- But- I have to admit the Superman face does feel a little 'off'- but love the rest. Great find! He also did a "Comic Reader" cover for STM that's awesome-

That's a great piece of art for the Nic Cage Superman--- but I kind of scratch my head that a fan would devote that much time to create a piece of art for a movie nobody was crazy about to come out! But, I do admire and respect the quality of the art...!

They were fascinated by the concept and what if.

They were fascinated by the concept and what if. It was a great documentary! It did make the argument that it might have made for a great crazy guilty pleasure, even if it wouldn't have been an ideal conventional adaptation. In some alternate universe, it would sit on my blu ray/dvd shelf next to Jodoworsky's Dune trilogy and David Lynch's Return of the Jedi!
