That's awssome!
Though superhero films are the rage now, I think the idea of a properly done Crisis on Infinite Earths can't really happen.... but then again, I never thought Avengers would happen.
I'm still skeptical on how Avengers 3 and 4 turn out with the reported giant cast. (Wonder if Helmsworth Thor and Evans Captain America will be around? I think I read only RDJ is contracted to...)

All I'm saying is EVERYBODY better be in infinity war. All hands on deck. I want Matt and Elektra on a rooftop looking up at the end of the world together. I want Frank Castle shooting riotous end of the world looters and killers because it's the only thing he knows to do that makes sense. I want Phil Coulson and SHIELD keeping the peace and evacuating people as cities are being torn up and sucked into the sky. And I want Captain America as the last man standing as a mad TITAN looks down on Armageddon while yearning for deaths cold caress. darn...I need a cigarette. Anyway Crisis could be done but it's something that years if not decades off. There is this from the flash tv show. I want every Superman who has ever been on screen using all their might to hold existence together while the Anti Monitor laughs. Oh yes... I want it that epic!

That would be cool, but I'm trying to be cautious on expectations.
Just having the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy is pretty big right there. I have a bad hunch that the tv division might not be asked to the table, though.
I remember the GIANT awkward silence on a talk show when the Avengers cast was asked if they would ever be willing to be on tv--- and the rumors that Kevin Feige hated answering to the tv division. (though I might have that wrong).... or that he had to make things fit, and wasn't crazy about it, since keeping the movies straight was tough enough.
Still.... Yeah... your description of what it could be gets me pumped up for it- but I have to temper expectations until we know for sure... (By the way, kind of wish they left Spiderman out of the Civil War trailer now & just left it as a suprise...)

The only surprise would be the new suit since Sony and marvel confirmed that spiderman would be in the movie ages ago.
True but I don't think the DC movies will ever be as good as what I'm imagining but it's fun to think about.
It's interesting that you bring up the movie cast on tv since Jeremy Renner is saying he'd love to star in a limited run Hawkeye show for Netflix.

Renner is great, I recently saw him in person at a comic convention. Very down to earth and straightforward. (And was suprisingly much more gracious to fans than I expected.) He said he never fought for the suit and is not crazy about wearing the mask, unfortunately, though...

The many many MANY deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
I'd like to see Snyders version added and while I can see why they left Batman Forevers out I liked that one too.

Gotham Tonight. All episodes in one video.
I really enjoyed these when they came out. It was like getting to experience things in Nolans Gotham as a citizen for a few minutes.

Agreed! Those fan images always put those great 'what if' images in one's head--
But it also makes one take a step back and realize how far things have come with superhero cinema.
At the same time, I'm more than a little sad that the quantity of superhero films has kind of opened the 'now let's make so much that things start to become mediocre' basket.
When STM came out, damn, what a media event it was at the time. Same with Burton's Batman (though I didn't care for that one nearly as much) and Raimi's Spiderman.
Here's hoping the Infinity Wars doesn't disappoint as the next big 'superhero event' movie. How awful would it be if it turns out be just 'meh'?
As far as the first Justice League film, it's strayed enough so much even visually from the comics that it's hard as an old fanboy to be looking forward to it as a 'big event'. Avengers each time I see it recalls my love of the old comics. Two of Nolan's Batman films does the same.
If only Nolan rather than Snyder directed MOS, I do wonder if Nolan would have made it close enough in spirit to BB and TDK to make everyone love it- and be excited about Superman films.
Right now.... well..... for the rest of this year, I'm just curious about Trek, Suicide Squad, and (to a degree- I was bummed with the cast change of the Ancient One enough to feel that 'it's gonna be a compromised vision' feeling going in) Dr. Strange.
I think, though, we've reached a point where it's incredibly hard to make a superhero movie an 'event' film. I think 'Apocalypse' might have wanted it to be the next event film.... but it's really odd (To me) that domestically, X-men didn't really catch on all that much, despite it's (generally) above average quality.
Hm.

Pics like that evoke a great response from long time fans because it's icon vs icon. Remember we were talking about Kirk and Picard meeting in generations the other day? Same thing. Those two characters had built up all those adventures and all that history and fans were bringing all those experiences into the movie. Generations wasn't an amazing movie but theremwws still something special about that moment.
That's one place BVS failed. They depended too much on the characters names instead of building up these new versions of the character first. There was no connection or investment in Batfleck when the movie started. Marvel understood youve got to establish who the characters are first before the audience CBS start thinking about how they'll interact. We knew how Thor was and we knew how Stark was so we were waiting for a few things to happen.
I grew up loving Reeves Superman and West Batman seperatly so my mind can't help but wonder what would happen? What would happen if those two came face to face based on knowing so much about each? It's a lot of fun.
