Thanks for posting this Metallo! It's funny how interesting bits come out decades later: Stuff that caught my eye in particular: * The original Superboy calling himself a bit of a 'punk' during the first season & about the DUI story: that has to be frustrating. * The idea that the Salkinds didn't have rights to a Superman tv show... but did for Superboy! How odd... * Dean Cain on the fifth season being ok'ed--- until Hatcher got pregnant. Huh. I did think the series was getting back on track, that's a pity that it got cancelled for that reason. * Routh on feeling like an imposter leaving SR- that's a pity but glad he's getting great response on Legends of Tomorrow. Hard to believe that it's been SO long since SR came out- Routh is probably closer to being the right age 'now' than then to play Supes.

Yeah I think so too. If anything he really does look the part more now. He and Bosworth were too young.
Interesting how much Christopher Reeve comes up in just about everyone’s comments. There were a few things I didn’t know either. I thought Beau weaver was really informative. I always felt there was a Reeve like quality to his performance. Doesn’t sound like there’s much affection between Newton and Christopher.

I just started to read this and the first Superboy guy says his contract was for $50,000 a show. That would be the equivalent of $413,630.87 today. Surely he's mistaken?

Might be a typo in the article. Does seem kind of high for a contract for an unknown.

It must be, even $500 a show would have surprised me.
David Wilson's section is funny, he must be kidding when he says "Christopher Reeve took a bunch of my bits that I had done, including how I used two different voices for Clark and Superman. I used a different, lower register when I was Superman." Either that or he is unaware of the radio show and Fleischer cartoons.

Yeah that bugged me too. Not that Reeve may have known him (all these actors who were in New York in the 70s seemingly knew each other) but he comes off like he’s saying he created that technique when like you said it was Collyer.
