It was the Reeve Only People
(Even though they don't really exist)

Do you feel vindicated? You should. I know I do. The Snyderites tried to shut down any dissent because they didn’t want to see this fail but everyone else saw the writing on the wall after Man of Steel. Now it’s like the fall of Rome in the DC movie franchise.
Snyder fired. Goyer demoted at best. Affleck wants out. Cavill likely gone. Cyborg movie...not happening. Suicide squad 2 nowhere in sight. Superman on the shelf. Batman likely rebooting yet again. Flash movie constantly stalling. It’s like watching a delayed slow motion version of Universals Dark Universe. Never thought I’d say their last hope for survival rests on Aquaman.

With the mess that the DCEU is, all I'm thinking is: Thank goodness the MCU isn't slowing down & at least I'm enjoying (enough) the Berlianti Supergirl series for my tv superhero fix (though this is largely due to the Legion being included- if they go, well...)

I still can't believe it was only a tiny handful of us on the forum that realised MoS was bad in 2013. The majority seemed totally blinded by it and decided to go to Facebook rather than accept it was bad.
It was like the story of the Emperor's New Clothes.
Now that the Snyderverse has collapsed, it is clear that the bullying was unjustified.

Now that the Snyderverse has collapsed, it is clear that the bullying was unjustified. Anyone who liked it had every right to like it. But anyone who didn’t had every right not to. The problem was the other side just didn’t want to hear it and stuck their head in the sand because they got mad at dissent. Some of them just refused to hear that maybe it wasn’t all that great in other people’s opinion. Others didn’t want their new favorite thing jinxed by bad word of mouth. Same is true with Star Trek and Star Wars (and Alien and Predator). I liked Last Jedi but I’m not blind to its massive faults. Meanwhile Star Trek is collapsing the same way the dceu is. These were all short term cash grabbing solutions for long term problems. A gimmick isn’t a subsitutute for quality.

The Beflantiverse has problems too but it’s a godsend compared to the sh!tshow that is the Snyderverse. It’s been a real port in the storm if your a long time fan who at least likes to see these characters treated with respect instead of despised and looked down on the way Goyer and Snyder did. It’s nice to have something close to the classic Barry Allen instead of the hyperactive comic relief in Justice League. I think it’s going to be a long time before we see the movie division get things firing on all cylinders.

True- LOVED Flash Season 1- (outside of awful filler episodes that seem inevitable on most shows). It's been said before, but still true: how odd Marvel rules the movies, but have some of the most horrible tv adaptations- versus DC which is mostly a disaster in the movies, but at least has the Berliantiverse.
