DIdn't go, but this sounds HILARIOUS- www.aintitcool.com/node/80950Hopefully someone recorded it on youtube, but it's a great report, nice to hear these guys still positive and enjoying the fans- Maybe unsurprisingly, nobody seemed to bring up Alison Mack, but..... there's got to be a bit of a morbid curiosity factor amongst the actors, and I'd be surprised if they didn't discuss this matter privately amongst themselves.

I read about this yesterday and it sounded hilarious. The @sshole in me would have been tempted to bring up Allison Mack but that would have been wrong and would have ruined what was a good time for the fans.

It's the elephant in the room- but, thankfully- as you said- it's great that nobody brought it up--- and could have to destroy the experience. On that topic, there was a great Las Vegas TNG reunion that was great.... until the topic of equal pay for actresses and actors came up, and it just shut up the men completely (maybe they got a lot more?) and allowed Marina Sirtis to go off the rails - which usually is fun- but she went off the rails in a very unentertaining way that made the fans and cast members squirm.

I think there should be equal pay but based around importance and time/seniority on the show. Stewart definitely deserved the most as the lead (as did Mulgrew on Voyager) since he had to be on screen the most but there’s no reason why Sirtis or McFadden shouldn’t have gotten the same thing as Spiner Burton or even Frakes or Dorn. The only reason I’d consider someone like Dorn getting more was because his role was more physically demanding even with the use of stuntmen.
Looking at today’s movies there’s no reason someone like Gadot shouldn’t be making the same if not more than what Cavill got.
Getting back on topic I’d love to see something like a Lex Luthor panel at a con. Think outside the box, Convention promoters. Rosenbaum, John Shea, Clancy Brown, Scott Wells, Sherman Howard, and even some of the one off animated movie guys. It would be amazing to put them all on one stage and have them give their takes on playing Luthor and discussing it. If they could get Hackman out of retirement for a con that’d be great but it’s a pipe dream. Might be dicey to go for Eisenberg and especially Spacey. Even if they did by some miracle say yes it would be pretty...awkward.
WB could be doing a lot more with this kind of stuff themselves especially for the streaming service. A Lex Luthor documentary or Joker documentary with new and archival interviews with everyone involved with the characters could be amazing. Sort of like what they do for the Blu-rays but expanded and more in depth.

Sort of like what they do for the Blu-rays but expanded and more in depth. It's not necessarily a bad idea about the Lexs, but.... from attending a ton of panels- I have noticed some patterns on the good ones versus the poor ones- If the actors have good chemistry on stage, then it's more fun- seems far easier if they had a history together and/or have a. good moderator. If the actors have never met or don't know one another- sometimes magic and interplay happens, but sometimes wanting to be respectful or polite to someone they don't know that well can sometimes lead to the actors all being a bit more quiet and restrained- which makes for a dead panel. Though--- if a good witty moderator knows how to keep the humor and the ball rolling, then it's like great improv.... and if he/she can make that stage experience more welcoming, fun, and inclusive for the actors I've noticed- and then they get more relaxed, and then anything kind of goes. But- also depends on the experience of the actors who've done convention panels before and know how to play 'ball' with the fans so to speak on stage. As an aside, a couple of years ago the Next Gen cast had a reunion with Shatner moderating.... and you could feel that a giant lack of warmth for the Shat on stage from the TNG cast. Hilarious cast, but they might have been better off choosing another person to moderate.

The thing about actors though is a lot of them do know each other and have history outside of their high profile projects. Some have even worked together on other things like in theater. Rosenbaum and Brown have a history from working together on justice league and other animated stuff. So many of them have a ton of history together we don’t even know about because it’s a business where there’s a lot of paths crossed and cross pollination. When Supermen collide. I think I read Daly knew Chris too.
