I don't have a 4k tv, but I would have picked this up if there were any extras that weren't previously released-
I have it copy/pasted below, but does anyone else find it odd that the Donner/Mank commentary isn't on this? (Maybe Donner got pissed at WB for the tv cut release and doesn't want to sign off?)
Anyhow- detailed cribbed from Capedwonder's post below:
Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Elements Superman Ultra HD Blu-ray contains the following previously released special feature: • Commentary by Pierre Spengler and Ilya Salkind
Superman Blu-ray contains the following previously released special features: • Commentary by Pierre Spengler and Ilya Salkind • The Making of Superman: The Movie 1978 TV Special • Superman and the Mole-Men • Cartoons • TV Spots and Trailers

The Donner & Mankiewicz commentary was recorded for the Thau Extended Edition. This new 4K version is the theatrical version only. Wish there was a way to improve the sound quality of the Donner/Mankiewicz commentary, because it sounded like they had them on one side of the room and the microphone on the other. At least there’s the commentary for Superman II The Donner Cut that recycles much of the same material.
I’m curious if the trailers and TV spots section will freature material from Caped Wonder that wasn’t on the previous releases.

What is the point of 4K when it will just make the special effects look worse?
The old VHS tape I had in the 1980s actually looked better.

That would be nice.... but then again, WB could also try to license those photos (?) from CW and use them for a photo section= and have SOMETHING new. But then again... if it even has the "Making of Superman" but with the correct frame rate (did that ever get fixed ANYWHERE?) I'd pick it up....

The Making of Superman II had the frame rate problem.

The Making of Superman II had the frame rate problem. That sucks! WTH WB? I wonder if R2 has the same issues...
