This news: www.cosmicbooknews.com/superman-christopher-reeve-hologram-rebootI wonder if this is going to be done for some ride attraction- much like Carrie Fisher I believe was done for the 3-d Star Wars ride at Disneyland. If the plan is/was for Reeve to come back as a live-action Superman.... I think about how (poorly) Fisher was done in "Rogue One"- and how distracting it was. The tech apparently just isn't up to snuff yet. On the other hand- I still think a 3d-cartoon redoing STM/SII (or updating it) and going forward, licensing Reeve's likeness from the estate would only be a tribute- so long as the story and character kept in line with what Donner and Reeve had in mind for him. Thoughts?

I saw this a while back and thought it was just so silly it wasn’t even worth posting. Especially the rumors that it could be for a film.
I think this OHalloran just talking. Something he’s trying to pitch to get a job or get people talking. Much like when he said he was trying to pitch himself Douglas and Stamp coming back as the three Evil Kryptonians in a Superman Returns sequel. He even came up with reasons why they’d look older. If WB did have a plan like this why would he of all people be in on it? If WB was working on this it’d be with someone like Donner or other filmmakers not an actor. OHalloran would be one of the last people to hear about it.
If it’s true maybe it’s for some kind of 40th anniversary presentation or exhibit. But a movie? C’mon. His wording alone makes it sound suspect as far as if being a real thing instead of something he’s trying to sell.

Didn't Donner do that improv-pitch for Douglas, Stamp, and O'Halloran at a convention event or panel with them during the RDC promotions talking about the three coming back and being older? In any case, yeah..... the internet continues to this day to be something that is always suspicious no matter what it is. Still--- for a few seconds presentation, or as part of something bigger (multiple Supermen over the ages?), I could see some kind of hologram thing--- but that doesn't seem to make sense for a full film. Too cost-prohibitive. (Unless it's just a sequence for another DC film that shows a sliver of a parallel universe with Supes and the villains, who knows?)

Exactly. I could see a short scene for a cameo but an entire film of that? The closest we’ve come to something like that is Tarkin in Rogue One and it was just a supporting role. WB nearly broke the bank removing Cavill’s mustache. like you said it just wouldn’t be financially responsible.
