The price of Hot Toys outside of China is crazy.

What is the cost of Hot Toys figures there- I wonder (US dollar equivalent?)
Superman Returns did decent business there according to box office mojo $8 million (I think it's relative)- and MOS did $63 million years later, so the character is popular there....
Still... I do wonder why the Reeve Superman figure didn't sell out ridiculously, in relation to hearing how many people out there have just as much love (or more) for STM than me...

Hot toys Reeve when he came out was in the $115-130 range. I got one at each of those prices. I also got the evil Superman for $130. Looking now the regular version is about $180-$200, but I think if I looked properly I could find cheaper. I got Batman 89 for about $155, Robocop around $190 and Marty McFly $160. I saw Nicholon Joker in a shop for under $100 and didn't pick him up should have grabbed him at that price.
I have't got anything new for a while. There's the space concern and the stuff coming out is just too mainstream. I have no interest in starting a Star Wars or Marvel collection. There was Back to the Future 2 but the likenesses weren't great. Most stuff I have now are customs. TO be honest the price of these things, even being cheaper than outside Asia, has gone up to a point that puts me off. I'd rather get things by Neca now, they're doing great figures and the price point is much more acceptable.
Looking at the new Hot Toys stuff out the price for Vader is around $250.

Wow- those are great prices! Neca is improving..... I got the large Supes/Reeve from Amazon at $100, but the box was so damaged that I returned it.... now, I think that's gone up tremendously as well.

That's a shame. I have a few Neca figs but I always end up tikering with them. I have the 1/4 alien and predator, both of which I repainted and upgraded bits on. Here's how my Reeve is displayed right now. I got a wooden base and added a clear rod support. The logo I 3D printed. I also did a custom 7 inch Clark. And here are some of my Hot Toys. Reeve has a new head and custom suit and boots.

Those look fantastic! Love the newspapers also- were those additions included with any figures or customs as well?

I made them. They are full papers with pages filled with original promtional ads for the movie. All printed on recycled paper so it looks like real newspaper. I'd be happy to send you the files to print your own if you want.

Thanks- I'll have to post my own Supes memorabilia collection- but it does not look nearly as cool as yours but I'm also much lazier when it comes to putting together those details like yours has!
