Not epic in stature but seems more natural in the role and more emotional content than Henry Cavill.

I think he's okay, but failed by writing and directing usually. I'm probably a lone voice on this, but I greatly prefer Cavill to Hoechlin as Supes... And Routh way more than Cavill.

I think Cavill’s only really good performance as Superman was probably the theatrical Justice League. Tyler Holchein plays a down to earth version kinda like Dean Cain. I like Holchein better than Cavill even Cavill is clearly has a better “look”.

I like Hoechlin a lot. Solid Superman who has a likability to him. He has more range than Cavill and his performance has something Cavill’s lacked. Cavills got a great look but Hoechlin owns him as far as performance and embodying the characters personality. Part of that is writing but part of it is what the actor brings to the table.
