If nobody from "Flash" is being used for the Gunn-verse.... anyone want to throw any names out for possible consideration?

I think it’s too soon to tell. I’d go with a lesser known since with this role a bigger more well known name is not needed. I think they’re also waiting to see how The Flash does before they make any firm decisions on casting for some projects. That could affect things like Supergirl. If Sasha Calle blows everyone away and the movie is a huge hit who knows?

I agree....probably wait and see for Calle (though I prefer the traditional casting for old school DC characters) would love to know what the full game plan is behind the scenes on currently-existing cast. For Mamoa, I would believe the rumor that he's promised Lobo if he has to step down from Aquaman. That seems like perfect casting in all ways. For Gal Gadot, I'm a little suprised but maybe not too much if they want a fresh new casting ensemble that's about the same age. Would they offer Hippolyta to her? Would she take it? Hm. |

If they offered something to previous actors I’m not sure it would be something that close. With WBD in cost saving mode I think one think ruling a lot of them out is cost. Cavill’s asking fee probably didn’t help his case. If Gadot is done as WW I can imagine the same thing coming into play. Plus while she was fine she wasn’t so great that she can’t be replaced. WW84 simply didn’t work for the most part so she does have a strong run of films to point to even if she was ok in the role. She’s not getting any younger for an ageless demigoddess either. |

One thing Gunn has done well at for his comic book movies is casting and how to use actors. Hmm... I feel it's hit and miss, depending on how serious I was hoping he would treat the characters. Yondu, Judomaster, Mantis were favorites in the comics- while I somewhat enjoy the conversion to goofiness (on some levels)- I hate the loss of the characters being more serious as they were in the comics. Yondu especially. |
