Check your local movie theater listings for screenings of Superman: The Movie these next upcoming weeks after Easter Sunday. Some theaters, like the one I’ll be attending, will also have a screening of The Donner Cut of II following I on April 18th to celebrate the publication date of Action Comics #1. It disappoints me a bit that after waiting decades for an opportunity to see II in a theater that it will not be the preferred theatrical cut, I will make the best of it. I’ve seen Superman I on a number of occasions and have enjoyed myself each time and this will be a great occasion as I will get to see both films with my brother who’s only gotten to see the first only once with me. Hope everyone on here gets a chance to see them and maybe I’ll even see you!

It would make no commercial or financial sense ofcourse, but in a utopic world.....they could have had 2 double bills at the same multiplex on different screens.....one with the Theatricals of STM and SII......the other with STM(the 2001 extended version) and the Donner Cut of SII. That way one could pick and choose.......I would go to both...lol!

In a utopian alternate universe, Donner would have had the chance to finish SII--- or another director whose choices I approved of, would have, actually. But another lesser utopian universe, a fan cut of SII would be available to see in cinemas year round!

I certainly wouldn’t complain if they ended up playing the Lester cut instead.

I certainly wouldn’t complain if they ended up playing the Lester cut instead. The extended international cut with extra Donner footage to me is actually the (overall) best 'Donner cut' even if it only has Lester's name on it. But, I'd be happiest (maybe) with that, myself...
