Snydercon?

I wasn't even aware of this until recently--

I think I'm the ONLY one (left) here that actually enjoyed the JLA 4 hour version - for what it was- or, enjoyed it ENOUGH (I still despise the casting of Amy Adams as Lois Lane- I like the actress but she's way wrong imo- and the subplot of Lois/Batman having a kid is off-putting as well) as a large fan music cosplay video of favorite superheroes.

If Snyder had been reigned in, I would have enjoyed more of his contributions.... but it was neat to read his ideas (hated most of them, to be honest)- to at least check them out of 'what could have been in an alternate universe'. The Ben Affleck appearance is something I didn't see coming.

No seriously....some interesting ideas on how things could have evolved.

Would much rather watch the new UHD for Superman IV......and that's saying something!

I think the thing is....
I thought the biggest loss was Superman Returns not becoming a movie series-

Not Man of Steel becoming a big bust creatively-
It would have been nice for it to be a good reboot rather than a bit of a horrifying disaster-

But....
With people loving the tv "Superman and Lois" and now James Gunn's new Superman on the way....

It's at least- interesting- to hear what might have been if box office/reaction was good to Batman vs. Superman and things had gone Snyder's way.

While some things he's done have been horrifying to me (killing off Jimmy Olsen and bragging with glee about it? Whhhhat???)- he has a nice visual flair and apparently was passionate about it- but..... again, I was more bummed that the Donnerverse was at one point going to be carried over into a new movie series and got unplugged than the reboot by Snyder failing right out of the starting gate.

That being the case.... sure, why not hear what he had in mind, yeh?

Yeah....the killing of Jimmy was unforgivable.
Mind you ,on my first viewing (which was the theatrical version), I never knew that was Jimmy - I mean ,I guess it does not take a genius to work it out and the Directors Cut confirmed it anyways......but given the fact that Snyder knows jack s**t about characters expressing empathy for other characters.....it fell flat on it's face.
Hey...poor old Jimmy just got whacked.....but Clark and Lois go for a romp in the bathtub!
Real sensitive , that  ol' Zack is - lol!

The dialogue is just stupid anyways:

"You just exposed..........."

Lex's Military Contractor Head holds up GPS fragment:

"CIA!"

Also, the witness is giving testimony on Capitol Hill, implying  that Supes wiped out all the local fighters......er jeez.....I never knew Supes carried guns to kill people!
I mean Lex's guys blew those dudes away plain as day.....even Supes could have seen that one as he was flying down to save Lois in the first place!

Anyways I am overanalysing this thing but still , if morons like Snyder paid more to attention to scripts than to abs, these kinds of plot holes would have been less common.

I know a friend that loves his written/directed "Sucker Punch"- something I hated (though has some great action sequences in the extended cut).... he is passionate about what he does, but his story and character aesthetics just seem far, far off from my own. I guess I do find his visually faithful "Watchmen" mostly fun to watch- but.... I guess it's all on Nolan for not directing/supervising Goyer's script for Superman and hiring Snyder? (Shrugging- then again, I hated the Goyer-Nolan "Dark Knight Rises" though I loved their first two Batman movies...)
