Apparently nuclear weapons were "ruled out because of the danger to the civilian population". What population? East Houston Idaho has like 8 people total. Why didn't the president just order a nuclear strike?

Would a nuclear strike have stopped the villains? Yes! Nuclear material will pierce their skin, make them mortal they'll become sick! It'll dance on their grave.

Lieutenant General Calvin Swanwick: "Shockwaves are getting stronger......everytime we hit them...we make them more powerful....you can't attack them" Crown: "What are you saying,Calvin"? Lieutenant General Calvin Swanwick: "I am saying they are unkillable"

Yes there would be collateral damage but nobody was going to lose sleep over Boog and Deputy Dwayne being atomized by the nuclear blast. Maybe there would be an open spot in the “orchestra” whatever that was but these simple people in East Houston Odaho were largely useless and the President should have had the balls to drop a nuclear weapon on the town.

Dear crown .....you are definitely kickin' a**(droppin' nukes).....to be a peacemaker! No one would have cared if East Houston was nuked. What was even IN East Houston? A single shack? A single crummy restaurant that sells rash beans and fish? I guarantee if East Houston Idaho was nuked you’d never know the difference. So the President instead of nuking east Houston and killing the villains when he had the chance let them destroy and occupy the White House and take over?

If I told you that someone destroyed a barn in a miserable little town would you give a shout? That chap reporter was reporting on some worthless barn being destroyed when there were likely more important things to report on in the world. It was a classic case of yellow journalism.

crownFar be it from me to quote a line from Superman IV!: "I wish you could see the world the way I see it, because when you really look at it....it's one world!" Including East Huston(and the barn)!

That scene at the end of Superman IV was just anti American propaganda funded by the Soviet Union. East Houston Odaho was worthless and it’s useless inhabitants were forced to live in filth. At least Non put that boy out of his misery. And the guy who said to Ursa “Hey sweet thing set them buns down here!”…. would you have cared if he has been atomized in a Nuclear Blast? NO!

Think of all em' flat tyres that would never be attended to if the poor fella got nuked.

She couldn’t fly on krypton so not sure why she was feeling all superior?. Also if you like East Houston so much you could move there? It’s a real place. Somehow I think that after living in that heckhole for 5 minutes you’d be praying for an atomic bomb to fall from the sky to end your suffering.

crownMan...I'd have field day in East Huston! I could arm wrestle Boog for breakfast, check out the barn for lunch, and go horse riding along that short windy road that poor ol' Jody got wacked on , after dinner. ATP asked if there are any national monuments worth destroying in East Huston........but East Huston is a National Monument to the American Dream, baby!

ATP asked if there are any national monuments worth destroying in East Huston........but East Huston is a National Monument to the American Dream, baby! You could also set your buns down on the guy from the orchestra and let him know if it tickles. Then you could spit teeth with Boog. Then you could eat beans with Deputy Dwayne and get a rash. Then you could go to the Barn with Jody and “get it up and keep it up.” Eventually East Houston would begin to bore you. Also weren’t the villains actually supposed to land in Houston Texas in Donners version? Why did Lester change it to East Houston Odaho? What were the odds that the villains would coincidentally land in another place called Houston?
