I have to remind myself I assumed doom and gloom over the X-men movie when the spandex left- but was shocked how good it was...
With the "S" James Gunn chose- maybe the movie will be great- but.... much like removing the red shorts- it's an automatic groan- was the change REALLY necessary? It's like deciding turning Batman's chest symbol into a cat or a rat is a good idea...

After MoS, I just assume that any new Superman movie will be crap.
That way, I won't be disappointed ever again.
I won't even bother watching any new Superman unless it gets incredible reviews.

It's like deciding turning Batman's chest symbol into a cat or a rat is a good idea... I’ve loved most of his choices so far from casting to creative ones. The S makes sense as far as some synergy with the new animated show as well as going with something different from the previous live action incarnations. It looks enough like an S but also alien. It also went over well when Routh wore it but that was just a one off. As far as the trunks I’d prefer them but the lack of trunks isn’t a deal breaker. It can be made to work especially if they go with a more modern suit design. Just avoid the mistakes of the Snyder era costumes as well as the creative decisions. Gunn has nowhere to go but up after the DCEU’s failures. |

Just a minute.
I realise of course that times are tough for some studios these days. But this isn't the answer. You can't solve DC's problems with a Gunn.
